    Thanks for all the vids, was always looking forward to see them. I love my N line, besides the transmission slip its a blast to drive. Next year im thinking of trading up to an Elantra N because im not sure what the supposed refesh in 2026 is going to be like, and if the manual is gonna survive. I could go preowned, but im a little sketch about buying used sports cars so I'd like the warranty. Hope to see vids of whatever car you get next 🎉

    Yeah I’m hoping another manual isn’t killed. VW announced recently that they’re getting rid of theirs for the GTI. I believe you can get an Elantra N preowned with the warranty transferred over but I’m not entirely sure. I’m aiming to get a pre facelift N in the performance blue. Not sure if I’m going DCT or manual yet. Thank you for all the support, you all motivate me to keep going 😎

    The cost has gone up now- It comes to 28K approx out the door. Little pricey compared to the automatic Kia Forte GT that shares the same engine and pretty much same interior specs. A new Elantra will get you 3 yrs 36K miles free service though- Kia doesn't. One thing that stood out from your video is the road noise. Other than that it seems like a well made car. Thanks for the post! good effort.

    @@2012Ajit thank you! My continental DSW06+’s aren’t the most quiet tire but using GoPro audio and no music on will make it sound worse. Forte is a noticeably smaller car than the Elantra cabin wise. You notice it most in the rear seats and drivers seat. I know they’ve since upgraded to a powered drivers seat but the one I drove the manual seat didn’t adjust in small enough increments where I could find a good place for my back. The costs for both of these cars has come up. I was priced a Forte GT at $19.5k in 2021. They both come with some added features that the 21 models don’t have though.

I haven’t had them for this car, mostly because I don’t have a place to store a 2nd set of tires but I’d go Blizzaks. The Hankook all seasons that came with my DCT N line were pretty bad in snow but my continental DSW06+’s are a good all around, all-season tire. If you buy snow tires you can wear out your all seasons or sell them and get a set of summer tires.

    Sure because the car is shifting less. But honestly, I don’t think that will make a huge difference. The only thing that truly matters is that you are using the engines momentum and not creeping forward. If you just let your foot off the brake and not use throttle you will ride the clutch. I would rather keep the car in second gear, as long as possible, rather than staying in first because of how short that gear is.

    When I was buying, the Forte GT had next to nothing. No power front seats, nothing in the rear, overall felt like a cheaper interior. And the elantra offers more cabin room by some small margins. I haven't been inside a 2024 model of either so I can't really compare the two. I know the elantra n line also got some added features such as a new digital dash, usb inputs for the rear passengers, etc. The MSRP also went up though. My car was $23k, the MSRP for the new n line is $28k USD.

    Hyundai needs to fix the model name or change it to numbers. N line and N is way too easy to confuse people. That's why BMW change theirs to M performance to Mxxx such as the M340i.

  • @auto_joe

    @auto_joe

    I greatly appreciate your comment, but I actually think the opposite. I believe having trim names helps set them apart. It took me months to get my girlfriend to understand the differences between the trims at BMW. The brand new M sport cars now even come with lone M badges on the front grille, I.E. the x3m40i has one. The M brand continues to dilute itself as they make lower entry point cars with M badging all over the place.

    Yeah they have gone up but they've also added some more luxury options such as a bigger infotainment screen, digital dash, etc. My advice would be to compare options and see if it's worth the difference in price to you. In my opinion, the 21 N Line's are well equipped enough. The only thing I have ever desired for in this car is adaptive cruise control which isn't a deal breaker for me. I would also ask the dealer about warranty for the 2021 car. Does the manufacturer warranty carry over to the 2nd owner or do they provide one for the car at all? You shouldn't have any major issues but it's a nice thing to have just incase.
