I would prefer western star then freight shaker. Seem like western star dont have many storage in front of cab but plenty storage in sleeper which is A plus in my book. Every truck not perfect as long you comforable. Congrats on your new truck rusty. Keep videos going trucker.

I left a cascadia for a western star and I love the extra length-bobtailling feels just as smooth as towing a trailer

Fun fact the western star actually has lowered beds if it is a bunk so it’s not as high

Anyone rememeber marmon? Contrary to popular belief (because of its looks and location) navistar internatioanl took over and remember when freightliner was white frieghtliner

Yay the new video is here. Can’t wait to watch it.

For the extra power jacks, they make 12V extra outlet boxes, and you can sometimes find them with a nice long cord. When you buy them check the plug first to be sure it will stay in the receptacle in the truck. Some fit snug and some will be too loose. Also, you can get a 12V to multiple 5V USB power strip as well. You can then just use a normal USB power cord to power your GPS or Camera or anything else that has a USB power requirement.

Nice video my personal prefrence nobody beats Volvo truck comfort and drive quality as far as engine and electric issues that can go either way.

I would lean towards the cascadia... just my opinion. I like the seats and cab space better. Also the lights are a big thing, both in and out. Thanks, keep em coming!!

It’s truly a beautiful truck. That chrome grille and bumper is intimidating. It might would have been nice to have a few more bells and whistles but it’s still sweet. Stay safe out there brother and keep on trucking. P.S. that’s hard to do when you’re on the hook.

It's better looking than the cascadia which I don't like the looks of the cascadia sleeper can because of those top windows look so ugly

May I suggest reading the history of Western Star trucks? I think you will be amazed and gain fresh insight on the truck and the brand’s place in history.

That star is sweet :) Its a bit tough comparing to the others. It’s a new hood and redone gages and steering wheel but that cab, doors , dash etc hasn’t changed much since 1996. If u compared a 96 Volvo aero WIA and a 96 freight liner fld120 u may find that star a bit modern.

For me, modern style trucks look waaayy better than retro. My absolute favorite is the 2020 Volvo. That is a beauty!

make sure you have a torx 25 screw driver for acces to the fuse panel. i dont know why but this is the fisrt 5700xe that isaw without a glove box... i have one in my 4700sb

I would much rather a Cascadia or a Volvo VNL 760. both seem like more comfortable sleepers and the layout up front of both the Volvo and Cascadia are way better. The bigger fridge and the drawers are pretty cool but you could likely request a better fridge when buying a Volvo.

Oh shit it has air disc brakes?! That's a huge advantage. I've never driven a tractor that has them. And for people confused as to why he keeps saying retro, hes referring to the straight boxy lines of the front of the tractor, instead of the sloping angular lines of a modern Cascadia or VNL. It looks awesome.

You should install a ladder and make a cover for that roof area so it can be storage space.

I am just in love with the outside of that Western Star 😍 The inside 🤷‍♀️ meh . . . Not sure if you have to get "upgrades" to address the issues with the outlets and compartment space, but I'm hoping that WS does have options (while they really shouldn't be "options" at $150K) 🤦‍♀️ just saying . . . BUT she sure is pretty!!! Haha I have always loved the look of the older Peterbilts & Kenworths (yes I included Kenworth ... don't judge me 😂) I actually fell in love way back in the 70's with the Macks 🥰 (yep, Convoy 😉 haha ... don't mess with the Duck ... quack quack 😂) Alright, that's enough nonsense . . . My vote is for the Western Star. Thank you for showing us around ... but this isn't exactly the video I've been waiting for ... I'm curious about the ending of your previous video 🤔🤷‍♀️ But I do understand the time involved in editing and uploading these videos while your earning a living!!! I do appreciate and love all of your videos!!!! Take care & stay safe 💞
