👁 About this video : Today we check out the 2020 Mercedes Benz AMG GT 53! This is such a phenomenal sedan or "coupe" that is a great daily driver, but also has the performance of a sportscar! I love all the materials on the interior and the attention to detail, it really makes this a special place to be. The driver seat is incredibly comfortable, and I love the alcantara on the steering wheel! This is a four seater with plenty of room for everyone and a ton of storage behind the seats, with the "hatchback" style to the power lift gate, it definitely provides a lot of storage! This is a smooth driving vehicle, but when you want to add some sportiness to the drive, you can adjust the suspension and really change the way to car adapts to the roads! The exterior has very nice lines, nothing is too aggressive, it has flowing lines that make it more luxurious. It's a fun car if you need that extra interior space, but still want a sporty car!

Bought this almost identical car for my wife last November. She loves it. Replaced a 2014 CLS AMG 63S. I agree with the previous comment about this car replacing the CLS in Mercedes lineup. The 53 is not as powerful as the 63, but is about 25k less and still pretty peppy. Wish the center screen was a touch screen (the 2021 is touchscreen), but otherwise the 2020 is identical. Love the new led ambient interior lighting. Nicest interior of any car we have ever owned.

Mercedes certainly makes some great cars!
Kinda makes me scratch my head that Mercedes has both this and the CLS...they seem to be occupying very similar niches in the market. My prediction is that one will get killed off and the other will just serve as that model’s effective replacement. I like how the AMG GT 4 Door has the rear hatch, so hope it sticks around. Great video!

Mercedes does that all over their lineup...just to name a few instances of competing with themselves: CLA35 AMG vs A35 AMG AMG GT43 vs CLS450 AMG GT53 vs CLS53 AMG SLC43 roadster vs AMG C43 cabrio AMG S63 cabrio vs SL550 roadster These are just from the 2021/22 offerings. I don't get why they have so many that overlap...
For a minute, I really thought that this was a CLA45...

In USA, does the 53 have an option to replace the front bumper to be the same style as 63? (In Europe, the 53 can have the same bumper style as 63). I don’t really dig the 53’s front bumper design.

48 Volt Battery issues that Mercedes wants to keep quiet about... After just one week and less than 300 miles on my new 2021 AMG GT 53 she wouldn't start. I had to get her towed in to the Dealership and had to wait over 2 weeks for a 48V Battery to arrive from Germany. Its not an isolated problem, you can read similar stories on the Mercedes owner blogs ... nice car when she runs.

Nice looking car but the exhaust sound is horrible and disappointing compared to big GT63 V8!

Well being an inline 6 it won't have that aggressive V8 sound, which I agree sounds better! I'm sure a new exhaust could fix that and you would hear it pop more!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed it’s still not going to come close to a V8 sound! Something about a twin turbo V8 engine that roars that gives a man chills and that horsepower is unmatched

Yeah I'd probably do the same. But this has much more luxury and comfort then the M3 does. Different buyers
