Sorry, but Taemin should have won Best Dance Award. Unfortunately MAMA awards are not about talent and quality but instead popularity. No shade on the winner, but Taemin dance was way better. This performance is so amazing his vocals and dance are beyond this world.

@@TheWayzenwol I totally agree with everything you say. There is no soloist of his caliber in pop music nowadays across the world! Taemin is really setting the standard so high I don’t see any male artist in his level when it comes to all - singing, dancing, performances, music and concepts. He is the real deal - a true King worthy of every praise and award!

So much respect. He chose to stand on his highly artistic side than trying to be mainstream. I know his popularity and sale is a little frustrating but I wish when he comes back he'll end up choosing to maintain his present course and preserves the respect and admiration he earned as a top tier idol. No amount of sale and popularity will ever compare to an Idol that is well respected because of his talent.

It's funny that all the "Best" awards are just solely based on popularity. All of them are just popularity awards. No hates to the winner but this is the best dance performance for me. FOREVER THE BEST SOLO MALE ARTIST

I've been a shawol for 10 years now and I always think of Taemin as a painter, everytime he moves his arms, his legs, his body gives off beautiful precise lines that is fluid at the same time. Taemin is one of the few idol who will make you say that "Yup, he is born for this" HIS PERFORMANCE IS BASICALLY AN ART THAT NO ONE CAN EVER IMITATE.

He is very close. This was a top notch MJ era stage performance for sure. But he’s not there yet. His talent is ridiculous for sure. Once he gets a crossover hit comeback era or he does a few English singles that can go international I can see it. I feel more Prince 👑 vibes in his performance aura but he does have that MJ performance quality for sure.

It doesn't matter who wins awards and is trendy in charts for this season or another, we know who is the real king and god on Korean stage, Taemin's throne will never be filled ❤❤

This made me think about how many times Taemin has been and is the one who introduces something important in kpop. His face appears first in kpop's first 'choreography practice' video with 'Replay'. With SHINee, him and his hyungs always introduced so many new concepts to the industry, from music to fashion to dancing and more. He is the first artist on SM to go solo while in a group. His debut song introduced many new composers and lyricists to kpop. He is the first Korean Artist that has performed at the Madison Square Garden twice ever in History. Debuted in second, third and four generations of kpop, and many other things I'm probably forgetting and now he introduced The dawn of New Topia. In short, his artistic career is fantastic and inspiring, as is his hard work and dedication, and he still has a lot to show us in the future. I'm super proud of him

I said already because being considered the king of kpop at 26 years old is incredible. It's true that he debuted really young but it's still amazing to see someone who is still active and young be considered with this kind of respect and admiration by other groups and artists.

He really does make it look so effortless. He practically floats on stage and it's breathtaking. The backup dancers killed it too though. It's not easy to share a stage with a legend and still look so put together. All together this performance was a masterpiece.

He is the kindest, sweetest, funniest and most “odoroble” person I know. He really has this angel like vibe, there is something very sweet and trustworthy about him and it really melted my heart :)

I don’t know how you can look at his innovation as too anything- it’s elegant and beautiful in every single way. People do find it difficult to accept new things but in this case I just think he was STRAIGHT robbed, last year he was robbed too, it’s just ridiculous. The number of dance breaks this performance has and it’s not even a group stage.... This performance is possible only because it’s TAEMIN. No solo act could deliver this so flawlessly like he did. Just realized this performance is almost 7 minutes long....with intense choreography....live vocals....no breaks....no cuts....only Taemin can outdo Taemin! 😍 The stage was SO beautiful and powerful! I CANNOT WAIT for the King to return from the military, 11 more months to go 😢

MAMA acknowledging Taemin is King. Starting off with the Korean throne featuring the backdrop of the sun, moon and five peaks that symbolize the universe. Ending with the majestic dragon cape. Taemin started and ended MAMA 2020..... LIVING LEGEND!

Actually everyone is talking about it, it trended over MAMA for 2 hrs and trended for 5 hours straight with #1 in immense no of countries. People would have revolted if he didn't get any award, I just saw this solidarity yesterday, other groups trended and then went by, Taemin trended since he started up until veryyyy end.

Lately I get the feeling that people just can't handle Taemin. He is just to creative, to progressive and so far ahead of his time. People throughout ages find it difficult to accept new art forms. That is perhaps why without any wins or being mainstream, he is still the idol of the idols. Creative people look up at him.

Between Taemin and BoA.. both so legendary! I had forgotten how long Taemin had been in the industry! BoA has been around for about 20yrs. I have so much respect for both of them and love Taemin’s performance here so much!!

태민 한 10년전 그때는 보컬 약했던거 사실인데 이젠 이렇게 격한 춤에 라이브 하는데도 음정 하나도 안 흔들리고 샤이니 곡에서도 고음 파트 하는거 보면 진짜 마음이 웅장해진다... 춤도 춤대로 진짜 잘추는데 보컬도 완벽하다는거 많은분들이 알아줬으면 좋겠다ㅠ
