This is why Taemin is the king of kpop. He always sets the bar so high that none but only him can cross it.

This wasn't really a live performance though. It's a LAR performance, but it doesn't mean Taemin can't sing when he stands still or at a radio performance. It's just how the K-pop industry does with stage performance these days - they use LAR tracks.

@@by.fi_fi actually you can clearly tell the difference between his voice and the backup track. And you can actually hear his breaths when he sings. Yea he is not singing the entire song but still considering that complex choreo I know i would struggle to even breathe let alone sing along lol and he is actually singing most of the song

Taemin's definitely singing over an LAR. You can tell how some breath sounds doesn't match his dance but im sure they balance that LAR recording and his Mic volume so this is actually one of the "raw-er" performances of Criminal where the LAR is not too loud and there are many parts that you hear his live vocals. Here are some timestamps that you can tell there is actual live vocals during performance 3:38 "ooh yeah" 3:42 his scream of Criminal is a bit weaker in comparison to the comeback performances because those are the fully LAR recordings. 3:51 the entire ending chorus, you can basically hear the difference between this one and all the other "live" performances of criminal 4:00 "not okay" disclaimer: before anyone wants to slam me, im a dedicated shawol and a taemint who spent too much time on tiktok watching compilations of his sexy "destroy me more" so i found that this is one of the few performances that was audibly different and more "raw" than some other performances so im just pointing this out we stan a hard working dancing king who's trained his way to become an impressive lead vocalist 😗😗😗😗😗

@@ClaireDo711 i also watch almost all of taemin(criminal) - shinee performances during this no audience during pandemics . They are still singing live tho, i just think that maybe this is broadcasting company just wanted to increase the viewer rating and trying the maximum sound as close as mv sound that is without breathing sound or any slightly off-keys during the performances.

Jesus Christ he's soooo incredibly stable while doing all these twists and turns. An artist indeed.

i've been a taemin stan for 7 years and his performing standard is so high that i've become jaded to the quality he brings to the table. even for that, this live left me COMPLETELY floored, i haven't gone so hard into fan mode in years. he was insane here oh my god

Probably because Shawols are busy with their lives just before Christmas and not str%aming like crazy 24/7. Our fandom is much more mature than average Kpop fandom nowadays. We have a lot going on as adults and we don’t spend our life on YT... It doesn’t change the fact that Taemin is sensational and people who take the time to watch this appreciate him immensely :) You should definitely check out his other songs and performances too! IDEA, Move, Want, Famous, Thirsty, Danger, Press Your Number and so on are all amazing songs!!!
