Nope, the new XT5 luxury trim is almost the same as corsair. XT5 has two different level in this 2020 models.

you will be in the minority. Folks prefer, for good reason, the Caddy.

FWD Corsair competes with Cadillac XT4. FWD Nautilus competes with the Cadillac XT5. Aviator, Navigator, and Escalade are all RWD three-row competitors. But you could cross-shop the XT6 with the Navigator or Aviator since the Cadillac XT6 also offers third row practicality if a RWD biased platform isn’t at the top of your priorities. Lincoln doesn’t offer a FWD three-row CUV and direct competitor to the Cadillac XT6.

Yes correct. In Canada starts at 35,000 canadian dollars. Corsair 44,000.

Corsair Body with XT5 interior would be SHARP!

The XT5 looks like a cartoon style car. The Lincoln is more refined. Love it!

@@issavibez394 this was about 10 years ago,I usually buy pre owned w/ low mileage,under 20k.The Lincoln was 2 yrs old w/ 16,000 miles & I baby my cars.Sinthetic oil,garage kept etc.The damn thing left me stranded at a grocery store.Since then I bought an Srx from 2011 & now an 2019 xt5.love my Cadillac but I'm sure Lincoln's are good cars these days.

It would have been nice to have to have the XT4 compared and not XT5, which is a model above the Corsair. You cannot compare apples to oranges

Also, he shows the rear seats in the Corsair with the front seats all the way back. He must be on the GM payroll.

He doesn’t like the Lincoln and shows it from the beginning to the end. How can you don’t put the front seats at the same place when you test rear seats ? You have the driver front seat much more behind than the front passenger seat in the Cadillac. And every comment, except the noise, is against the Lincoln. And I don’t mention the real opponent, as several comments did…

Why is he Soo Close to the steering wheel on the Corsair . . ¹.MOVE the entire Seat back ever so slightly. ².TILT seat portion forward and, ³.LOWER back portion Rearward. Problem solved! But, no. He wants us to hate the Corsair. Says chair is too low. Or, uncomfortable for him. With reviews like this. His sarcasm only adds fire to the flame. How can anyone take him seriously?! On occasion, his sarcasm can be entertaining though.

XT4 is the correct match for Corsair. I'm surprised about the author's complaints about the Lincoln seat, because they generally have great seats. The HP of the Corsair 2.3L is 295, and it has a lot more torque than the XT4 engine. This is what Autotrader says about Corsair vs XT4: Conclusion These SUVs are evenly matched in a lot of ways - the interior spaces, base engines and pricing are all very similar. However, the Corsair has enough advantages to be declared the winner over the XT4. The Lincoln has more standard driver assistance features, a fantastic optional engine upgrade and those cool tilting and sliding back seats. You are comparing Apples to Lemons The corsair is a smaller car than the XT5. The Nautilus is the comparable car. Just sold my Nautilus and bought a XT5 because of my Lincoln Dealer being very bad.

I bought a 2023 Corsair Reserve AWD. I didn't test the XT4 after reading multiple reviews and test videos. The Corsair is very impressive (although pricey) when loaded. Excellent and enjoyable to drive and gorgeous interior. Interesting that this video found the Lincoln seats uncomfortable. Probably the most comfortable seats in any vehicle I have ever owned (I don't have the 24 way adjustable seats but the standard leather seats in the Corsair Reserve are outstanding). Very impressed w/Lincoln.

I watched a documentary where Jonathan Ivy, Apple product designer mentioned that he was inspired by Rams. I think Steeve Jobs said something about Braun and Rams in his biography book. He was obsessed with Braun's products and Mercedes too.

Hello I have a Cadillac ST5 and yes it’s very confortable I really love it . Love your video very informative I will be trading my 2019 ST5 for the Luxury 2020 ST5 .

Nice comparison. How tall are you ??? You mention the headroom problems several times, but do not provide a point of reference as far as your height is concerned.

The back seats on my XT5 actually do slide forward & back and they also recline back, push the button on the shoulder on back seats and they will recline back pretty far!! On all reviews they never mention that ! Try it out next you get in one ! I’m 6’3 and hav plenty of room when slid back and reclined. Awesome

Wow. Good to hear. I'm 6'1 and was wondering if this would be comfortable for my height. Between that and the middle armrest that gets in the way of turns(long arms) shopping for cars can be annoying. Can I ask what model xt5 you have, like the premium luxury, etc.?

On the xt5 you have to lock the door and hold the lock button down for 2 sec and the mirrors with fold in

Size wise the XT5 is closer to Nautilus. But I guess price wise it isn't. I think it wouldn't be any different. Both have similar features anyways.

My family and I have owned multiple Lincoln’s and Cadillacs. Never had anything big on any of the Lincolns lol and the Escalade basically totaled itself with a massive engine failure and the screen exploded in the SRX… yeah Cadillacs are much more reliable smh

You're comparing apples and oranges. The corsair doesn't compete with the xt5, the Nautilus does. The Corsair competes with the XT4. The xt6 competes with the Aviator

6’2” is taller than average, I have a Corsair and I’m 5’8” and there’s plenty of room and it’s extremely comfortable and the 24 way seats are super comfortable...and the XT5 is a competitor of the Lincoln Nautilus the Cadillac XT4 is the direct competitor of the Corsair... this guy don’t know what he’s talking about. If you’re doing a competitive review you need to review similar vehicles!!! Worst ever!

@@scottwilkins I'm not a huge fan of Cadillac interiors. They always look too industrial and cheaply made. I've looked at XT6 and been highly unimpressed especially in comparison to Aviator, but I have yet to look at XT4. Maybe Cadillac got more right with that model.

Great comparison. A few things, Cadi has terrible exterior style but well done interior style. Lincoln has a goofy looking interior but fancy exterior.

No disrespect but you should have used the xt4 vs Corsair, and the Nautilus vs Xt5 just my thought.

I think you should compare the Corsair to the XT4 Sport not the XT5 sport has more cabin space and a bigger vehicle. In my opinion but thanks for the video

While this video provides a lot of info, I only came here to see why in the world would anyone compare the XT5 to the Corsair. I too quit watching because it doesn't make a true comparison of XT4 to Corsair or XT5 to Nautilus. I plan to buy this week and it's down to the XT5 or Nautilus, and they are very equally appointed. Not sure you can go wrong with either. I prefer the Lincoln and my wife prefers the Cadillac. It's just preference as to what you're looking for in a quality luxury SUV. The Corsair and XT4 are too small for our needs.

@@Gemini530 We bought the 2020 XT5 Premium Luxury model, and we love it. It was better than I expected. I have to admit that my son works for GM and I got a family discount at the dealership, so that helped me make the decision. It would have been the right decision even without the discount.

Poppie ... Nice and congratulations. I currently lease a BMW X3. I’m considering the XT5 for my next car and first American car to ever lease. I’m looking for a more plush and comfortable ride over a sporty ride.

The rear seats recline on the xt5. Its on the top of the outside seat by shoulder

I have to give you a thumbs down on this review, sorry. It all starts with the fact that these two vehicles are not direct competitors. The XT5 is a considerably larger vehicle in every dimension. It’s length alone is 9 inches longer overall than the Corsair, so of course it’s going to be roomier inside. You should have pointed out this fact in your review instead of just crapping on the Lincoln for being so small inside.

There's more rear leg room in the Corsair than a Suburban. That rear seat moves forward or back 6" and reclines. It is also the compact Ford SUV....the XT5 is the mid-sized Chevy SUV. Look at the rear seat room in their XT4, the correct comparison vehicle.

Xt4 is the more realistic size comparison to the corsair

This really put into a real-life perspective the different types of experience you get with these two American luxury brands. Lincoln has these crazy amazing sounding 30-way Perfect Position seats that are ironically dinged way more than they should simply for not being comfortable. Who’s at Ford and spent the money developing these expensive seats but forgot to make it effortlessly comfortable for the customers? This isn’t the first time I’ve heard someone say they rather have a less complicated and more comfortable seat. Ford’s designers do great designs but don’t seem to drive their own vehicles. It’s like they have an ear for what sounds good on paper but don’t really care how everyday life would be with the product. I feel a lot of Cadillac’s design language is simplistic beauty. The phrase “less is more” really comes to mind. This is the perfect example of that, a less complicated naturally aspirated engine that produces more power and will be more reliable. A much simpler front seat which is ironically more comfortable. All things considered it’s not hard to see why Cadillac is the more successful brand. Lincolns have definitely gotten better to look at nowadays tho, this Corsair blows the Mkc out of the water!

Totally biased review in an attempt to bash the Lincoln Corsair. Anyone notice at the begining and end of this so called comparison, he gave thanks to the GM dealership. Every expert review gave the Corsair rave reviews, but all this guy did for 30 minutes was bash everything about car. Pathetic. And BTW, nice job intentionally leaving out the sliding rear seats on the Corsair, while highlighting it on the XT5.

Sam CarLegion The Lincoln Corsair competes with the Cadillac xt4, it is NOT a direct competitor to the xt5. The nautilus is the direct competitor to the xt5. If you wanted it to be a fair comparison you compare the real direct competitors, not two different class of cars (midsized vs compact). You also failed to mention the copilot360 system for the Lincoln, which offers more safety equipment. Not to mention in the us the base price for the Lincoln is $35,600 and the Cadillac’s is $42,600. Plus the Lincoln has 295 hp in the 2.3t, not 280hp.This review was not professionally done, if it was you would have provided the correct information.

Exactly..both car companies have a budget when building a vehicle..so it really boils down to preference🤷‍♂️..when they start the review saying it's a ford" you can expect a down hill review..that Lincoln is executed nicely .all Cadillacs looks alike.🐔.and none of them comes with fog lamps!!! I don't think it's fare to simplify them as a Ford and Chevy underneath. You probably should have compared the Luxury model as well. Decent review otherwise. I prefer the Cadillac inside and out. The Lincoln just looks like something and older person would drive. The Cadillac looks more aggressive and modern. Great features reliability as well from the Cadillac. Good job.

@@SamCarLegion the Lincoln uses a different strut design...more like magnetic shocks...same with the Caddy, it's not using Chevy suspension. Ford doesn't offer the 2.3 in their SUV (Except for the Bronco, which isn't out yet)...

The steering wheel design on the caddy is a deal breaker. Cadillac has really fallen. It really sad. It really tells you something that this design made it to market.

Some of us like to sit higher. You didn't demonstrate how high they go. I like the Caddy. Lincolns don't appeal to me.

This is not a really fair comparison of these two SUVs the XT five should be compared to the Lincoln novelist not the smaller corsair that’s a really small car

Such a ridiculous comparison. The Corsair competes with the xt4. The nautilus competes with the xt5. The costs maybe different in Canada, but the xt4 is around the same size as the Corsair. You need to compare them both.

If you are tall you should not drive a compact car or review it. Like I tight pair pants if you don’t like the way fit don’t buy them.

I’m 6’3” and the Corsair fits like a glove! Plenty of head room; everything at perfect arms reach. Seat is very comfortable. Love the foot tail opening mechanism. Drive mode selector allows you to dial in the drive the situation requires. Zero complaints.

What is the point of this video??? It is apples and oranges! The Corsair and XT5 are not direct competitors. the XT5 is a “sport” mid-size model while the Corsair is more of a “comfort/luxury” SMALL SUV. Everything you dinged the Corsair for: leg room, etc, is because it’s in a smaller and totally different class of vehicle. You really should take this video down.

Xt5 is pretty ugly.
