2020 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX -- First impressions review ※ First Dates

Timestamps/Chapters below! This was one hell of a first date... she certainly isn't backward in coming forward! 😂 I have some corrections for my video from a viewer below (thanks markb4772):
"The SE doesn’t work with Rideology, only the SE+. A couple of things to note from the video, it does have the eco indicator like the 1000sx, and there are 2 types boost gauge on the basic LCD, one you can select on the left where it shows the boost as a series of arrows ( you can also change the arrows to display lean angle ), and you can also show the boost percentage as a number on the right of the display ( or boost temperature even )"
Many thanks for Fraser's Motorcycles of Gloucester for the loan of this immense motorbike. I hope you enjoy the video - if this bike is on your shopping list and if you are in the vicinity then get in touch with James Heslop at Frasers and he can arrange a test ride.
Sadly I'm not sure if I got any supercharger "chirps" in this video... by time I finished editing my ears were knackered and I have trouble hearing high frequency sound at the best of times (always wear earplugs on bikes kids... I never did for the first ten years of riding and now I'm living with the consequences!). If you hear any chirps please let me know!

    Nice video and a great bike. I've had one since 2019 and have done over 30k miles. Mine has been flashed and produces almost 220bhp but, more importantly, any throttle snatch has been totally removed. The bike is so good I've just taken delivery of a new '24 SX SE.

    Should’ve done a bit of homework on the bike before going out on it, mind you, should’ve taken the SE out rather than the cheap n cheerful one! I’ve had my SE for 18 months now, love the thing! Been all over northern Spain with it, loaded up and two up! Superb bit of Kawasaki wizardry👍🏽

    I did mention the weight, brake disk sizes, brake caliper design for the front and rear, front fork size, pannier preperation, clutch, throttle snatch, throttle modes and KTRC... I didn't think I did too bad! I was a bit wooly on the power output and range of suspension adjustment I'll admit. Let me know what you think I should have indcluded - I'll be happy to take any advice on board. The bike shop I'm working with only had the standard model on demo otherwise I would have given them the big puppy-dog eyes for the SE lmao! It's an awesome bit of kit and its good to hear you are using it exactly as it was intended 👌

    @@skts2610 None taken I wasn't sure what aspects of the vid you were referring too that's all. I was shown a few features but what with getting my camera gear ready too I might not have been giving it my 100% attention. Plus I was bloody excited to get on it too! 😂 You must be loving that SE with bluetooth/Rideology app and the TFT dash, done any mods at all?

    I purchased the performance tourer package, so I got the tinted screen, Akro can etc. I’ve put second skin over the frontal area, rad and front pipe grills from R&G, K&N air filter, Evotech front and rear wheel hub protectors, sat nav🤔 Next on the list is a ecu remap, on F mode the throttle can be a little snatchy until you are use to it! So a remap will not only sort this issue out, but it’ll also unleash about 30+ bhp as Kawasaki heavily restrict them for emission reasons😩 I’m not going to go silly with the bhp side of things as I still want it to retain its Japanese reliability as well as be awesomely quick too👍🏽

    Great review Rikky, have watched the Ninja 1000SX video too and i'm a bit confused now. Just sold my 1250 GSA with the intention of buying the Ninja 1000SX but keep coming back to H2 SX reviews, have ridden the 1000SX a couple of times and absolutely love it, been riding boxer engines for 6 years and didn't realise how much I actually missed a 4, they have changed, couldn't believe how well it pulls from almost everywhere Have not ridden the H2 SX yet but have a ride booked sometime next week So is it worth paying the extra 7 grand or so for the H2? You sounded like you really enjoyed that ride but which would you choose? I do a lot of touring so I know changing from a GSA to either of these bikes is going to be a bit of a compromise as far as luggage, comfort and shaft drive is concerned but feel like I need a change Just subscribed too

    Thanks for watching and for subscribing, much appreciated! Now you ask a very good question... which bike out of the two would I go for? Well lets' put it this way... my head would say buy the Ninja... my heart would say buy the H2! I really do like the Ninja SX, I could honestly see it as a bike that could replace my S1000R because it somehow suits me better. BUT... while the Ninja would put a big smile on my face, it won't make me giggle like a schoolgirl!! I know its a lot more money, and owning one would put your driving licence at more risk than it would with the Ninja (especially during the Honeymoon period), but I think that if I budget it all out and find that I could still afford to eat - I'd buy the H2SX (but not the standard model I rode with the LCD dash. If you're going to go big you might as well have all the toys!). If I couldn't stretch to the H2 then the decision is basically out of my hands but I'd still be happy with the Ninja. Having said that, I'm not a big-miles touring type of rider (not yet anyway) and with the limited miles I did on both bikes I can't really say too much about how'd they would fare over longer distances or say anything about long term ownership. The H2 is Heavy.... that's one thing that does count against it in my view - even heavier than a 1250GSA. I think it will become clearer for you after your test ride.... either you'll be shocked and amazed, or you'll be thinking "this is just too much..." P.S. the ZH2 naked bike probably not on your radar but if you asked me to choose between the three I might just go for that instead.

    Get the H2, far better bike than the normally aspirated Ninja! I’ve had mine 18 months now, love the thing, she’s a keeper that’s for sure, modern classic in my opinion....

    Bike is amazing, thanks for nice review. Just if I may for future, please do not switch camera when overtaking others, its kinda annoying when you start overtake, we look forward to see how you do it and bum, camera on you and we see nothing...

  • @RikkyTang

    @RikkyTang

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for your comments! The main reason I switch the camera is so I'm not showing the speedometer on the overtakes 😉 The motorbike dealer can stop lending bikes to me at any time if they feel my riding is not acceptable and so I have to take some precautions. I'm getting better at video editing and so this year I should be able to keep the camera facing forward more often but also not get myself into trouble!

    @@RikkyTang I see and get it.. Actually I think when overtaking somebody its not against any rules if you get overspeed for that time.. SOme youtubers blur the speedometer. Actually its a bit funny, everybody knows its basically imposible to stay within the limits when testing all the time, its kinda clear that if somebody blurs it, why they do it :) But damn, this bike is amazing. I have Tracer 700 (2020) and being happy with it but if I ever feel I need something more powerful, I think my choice will be quite clear... Have a nice day.
