I love the Kawasaki Ninja H2 so when Wheels Motorcycles offered me their brand new SX demo for a couple of weeks to try out I jumped at the chance!
This video is my first impressions riding this incredible machine with more to follow shortly.

When it comes to "sports" bikes, your reviews are the only ones I trust and appreciate; nice one!
Just going back over some of your older videos. As I had missed this one. Top quality as always.
I was just looking at purchasing this bike, you’re right a lot of money but I’m really thinking about getting it after seeing your review of this bike. Great job Sir.
That would have to be one of the best looking bikes of today. Congratulations Kawazaki on a phenomenal bike and to Lamb Chop for another great review.👍

I own serial #2 according to the VIN of this bike. I agree with everything you've mentioned in this first ride video. Have only driven mine home from the dealership before putting it away till spring 2020. Can't wait to ride it again.
Great video, I think it gave a really good view of what the bike is like. Love your enthusiasm. Kind of made me have a crush on the bike tbh!

Having ridden for some years I do like checking people's bike vlogs. I have become rather clinical of many for how they're presented. Seeing the H2 SX as a worthy replacement to my Blackbird (should I ever replace it) I found this video yesterday. Nicely done sir! Well presented and rather enjoyable to watch. I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your other videos over the coming weeks. Keep up the great work. Damien

Always fun to watch someone the same height riding & giving their opinion with sportbikes/bikes in general - We ain't made body-wise for these toys, but seems like the H2 SX SE will suit me just fine, coming from a ZX10R that I already thought was a bit cramped :D

How is this bike when you are in town? I mean Im driving a gtr1400 (concors14) and I hate it whenever I have to be in traffick because it gets quickly heated up and starts the fans to cool the engine.
I was drawling over that in Wheels - oh yes - love to own that one.
The sound from the super charger is the blades breaking the sound barrier !

I bought an 2003 ZX6R 636 last year it cost me £1900 and I'm well happy with it,this H2 is is on another planet to me 😮
Love that turbo whistle.
I borrowed a 2018 H2 SX SE for the day, and by the end of it I couldn't wait to get back on my ZZR1400. I found the H2's seat bum-numbingly hard, and the power delivery a bit unpredictable. Yes, the H2 is more agile, but it didn't feel as planted as the ZZR. I realise that it's like comparing apples and oranges, but give me the buttery-smooth never-ending pull of my 1400 any day.
Really good Job , as always and Good bike

Come on National Lottery number's!
Oomph the sound of that supercharger
I tested it too about 2 hours. Yes, it is mental. You cant feel the speed until you are suddenly 200 km/h. Damn, not for me bc of that (and the prize). Quite heavy, but touring bike it is.

great review as always!! im really considering between the normal h2 and the sxse...i was wondering is it possible to remove the side grab rails on the tail to give it a more aggressive look? or is it just gonna look real ugly with wierd holes?

I can only assume your referring to the Lockheed SR-71. There are so few people who have actually flown one of these when they were in service and even fewer now that they are not in service. I have to say my BS meter is twitching... you may be able to tip the scales in your favor by going into detail about what they use to keep the tires from going flat and in relation to this question once the U2 was shot down over Ussr in 1960... how did our government explain not still flying spy missions despite the unique substance periodically going low which these planes need for the wheels. (part of the U2 pilot being released from captivity was that we would quit spying and of course we said "why shure thing!" but you know that was BS and we just did it more sneaky). I doubt you can find this on google so if you are faking busted, but a pilot who flew one of these will know! I do because my relative worked on the U2 supplies back in the 1960's. They all are alike when it comes to what they use for the tires. Not saying if you know you are for real but a lot more believable.

I know those roads and happily not many other riders appear to. Can blast along those in complete isolation.
Before back issues I used to love my Blackbird, ten years ago I’d have been tempted, I’ll stick with the GSA, looks good...where were you riding?
Impressed so far 👍👍. Don't understand though why the bike needs to be so heavy. Shouldn't be, in my opinion. Good one, bring on part 2and 3.
@LambChopRides
5 жыл бұрын
Yes its weighty.. Fine while riding only becomes apparent when your off the bike pushing it around. Its GS weight but with the GS the engine is low and the bars high so makes that easier to manage

Nice, very nice indeed 👍👍👍
Great review. It's an impressive machine & piece of engineering without a doubt but it's physical size & weight would put me off (because I'm a weed lol). I'm also not sure about the looks, I think it might date but either way it's undoubtedly a special bike. I also like your version of running it in & "taking it easy" lol.
Still not convinced on these filling the same role as the ZX-14R/ZZR1400, even if the purchase price wasn't so far out of my budget. Those big bore engines seem to be extremely durable, but I wonder about the longevity of 1000cc supercharged engines. Especially given the lure of so much additional performance available with little more than an ecu flash.
@K-carbon

No complacement for displacement hey 😁
@Joric78
5 жыл бұрын
@@K-carbon Something like that. I mean I know they've detuned these to @170rwhp from the H2/R (which specifies conrod and exhaust valve changes at 60 hours over 8000 rpm), but apparently that can be increased to @220 (and back again) with nothing more than an ECU flash. I'll be interested in whether we will see these getting around with over 100,000 kms in a few years, as you do with the ZX-14Rs.
@petertakov
5 жыл бұрын
@Joric78 I have a Versys 1000 with 78k km on it. Bought it brand new 3 years ago and a friend of mine bought the same bike at the same time but only has less 10k k. on his. I've tried his recently and mine runs better. Obviously it's not the same 1000 cc engine as the one on the H2 but 100k should be nothing for these modern engines.
@Joric78
5 жыл бұрын
@@petertakov Well I assume the engine's are good in stock trim if the maintenance schedule is adhered to. I'm sure Kawasaki has tested them for endurance. I doubt the increase in compression ratio and new pistons would decrease service life when the engine was originally designed for considerably more power. It's more about whether they'll still be reliable if you flash the ECU for an easy extra 50+ hp. People seem to assume that the top end power was tuned down for emissions, noise or fuel economy, but seem to ignore the durability question. I guess my concerns come down to whether H2 SX engines are relatively "overbuilt" and understressed in the same way as ZX-14Rs or Hayabusas? There's not many production forced induction vehicles where you can just flash the ECU (or wind up the boost) for an extra 30% power without an impact on reliability.
@alexlindberg88
5 жыл бұрын
I actually just traded in my 2014 ZX14R on a brand new H2 SX SE. Stock it's obviously not as fast as my 14R was but mine was modified with full exhaust, ECU flash and a BMC air filter. Dynoed tuned to 202whp. My H2 will be faster than old bike when im done though as supercharger adds a whole new level of power to be gained. I will tell you the SE is the way to go as you get way more shit vs base SX but this bike checks off every gripe I had about my 14. I'm a tall guy and the riding position is a bit more neutral than 14 and about 2 more inches of legroom than my 14 had. Cruise control, Bosch 6 axis ABS system. This bike is a work of art and electronically superior than the 14 was by far. So far I have 260 miles total on the H2 SX SE. Quickshifter is also badass as I've never had a bike that was equipped with one till now. 14 has more bite out of the hole and more torque. The supercharger really comes on around 7k though and feels like it will give the 14 a run from a roll. Unless kawi updates the 14R with similar electronics I'll stick with the H2s from now on.
Great first review, how is it compared to the zzr 1400 on the highway?
Not sure this is a bike for me, but having had a few machines from Wheels (Leicester branch) I can confirm they are top dealers.
Cool motorcycle
They are utterly bonkers. As someone else said love the dash.
You're riding through Rowlands Castle! I live near there. My dream bike!
