2020 Honda e review: The most desirable electric car yet?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The 2020 Honda e sets out to prove that truly great design can overcome a high price and what some might regard as a limited range. Dan Prosser tests out this all-new electric car to see if that is indeed the case.

Perfect car apart from the range and price! I reckon in 5 years when battery technology has improved this could be sub £20k with 200+ miles of range, then it would be a huge success.

Where did you get that colour? It's not available in the UK. I've driven a blue one, and that looks very different from this one. Unless your camera has a distorted colour sensor.

I’m not convinced by the limited range. If you needed to make a long distance trip the range becomes an issue. Cute design nevertheless.

Looks like an old vw polo. What a crap road test. Drive round a housing estate for 10 minutes. Anyone who buys this must have no sense of value or any interest in cars.

Does away with wing mirrors because it causes drag and poor efficiency. Adds six screens that reduces range. Good one Honda.

Ah, yes, folks, the Honda hee-hee e... ...This obscenely overpriced overteched object looks like a cross between a batt-pack-shopping-trolley and a doubly concave mobile matchbox. Saleswise, here in the UK, I predict that it will prove to be a colossal white elephant. It features a boot the size of a postage stamp plus a range just about capable of carrying you twice round the block - ok, make that three times - added to which there's a charging-port lid on the bonnet resembling the top of your nan's commode. Finally (this next bit is tech overload gimmickry gone beserk and then some) we come to a multitude of in-your-face screens stretching would you believe the entire length of the dash, one, wait for it forming a mock fish tank... I kid you not. Presumably it's purpose is as an answer to the masses of ev drivers demanding of the manufacturer that they please be sure to incorporate on the fascia images of fake floating perch etc. The one aspect I applaud are those innovative door cameras but you pay a hell of a premium to enjoy their presence. [News recently reached me regarding an individual who, apparently murmuring yuck phrases like 'Cutesy-cutesy-cool' and at one and the same time wetting their underwear in the process of viewing the thing, proceeded to put down a deposit to purchase this Japanese runabout. A few weeks after taking delivery, said person went into a motor accessories shop wanting a windscreen wiper for it. The assistant's response was, 'Sounds about right!'] [News recently reached me regarding an individual who, murmuring 'cutesy cutesy' in the process, apparently wet her underwear in excitement on first sight of the thing and proceeded to purchase this Japanese runaround.
