Wow! Despite the horrific impact of SARS Cov2 on our culture, our economy and our health, glimmers of God’s grace and faithfulness keep hope alive. God is in control. So because of a germ, a Pennsylvania widow of Medicare age was just able to listen to a powerful apologetics presentation at a Men’s Conference held in Indiana last year... How incredibly powerful is that? Especially since it is my calling to evangelize family -4 children, 15 grandchildren and 1.5 great grandchildren (youngest family member due in March) and teach a parish Faith Formation class of 5/6 graders and share Jesus with friends and family. I also served a stint as an evangelical Protestant before returning to Mother Church. I wield the sword of the Spirit and try to keep my sandals of peace from falling off. -a most grateful fifth campus parishioner of All Saints

Hi Barbara.. happy new year... you are a woman of great faith. Can I ask you to say a prayer for my son...My son is entangled in a narcissist relationship. She is older than him by seven years is an alcoholic and on RX meds for addiction , depression and anxiety... he is all alone in a new town due to a job transfer and promotion so he is very lonely... she found him through a dating site and worked her way into his life very quickly with lots of lies and manipulation. He is a people person with a good heart and she had him arrested on false charges. He was trying to help her by calling her mother because she was going to drink and drive, and she repaid his good deed by becoming infuriated and she called the cops...the police said it was by law mandatory that they had to arrest him... no questions asked...he is traumatized by this and yet She has worked her way back into his life... even after an arrest..it’s beyond comprehension...I believe it’s witchcraft she is a Jezabel she lived in Seattle I hear it is known for witchcraft. He doesn’t listen to any advice from so many people. He is trauma bonded he has a court date next week... can you please say a prayer for him...he needs a army of prayers from good faithful people. God bless you and your growing family.

@@jmj1852 I will put JMJ’s son on my KZread prayer list and recommend you listen on KZread to either of the exorcists Father Chad Ripperger or Father Vince Lampert for guidance on praying for your son and the ‘friend’. My daughter was married to a narcissist bipolar and finally broke free. It is not pretty and it is a spiritual battle. He has started attending church which I hope is not just a show, but she is savvy enough now to not be tricked. I pray for his salvation. She is now strong in the Lord and doing well. I will also pray for the Lord to comfort and guide you. Blessings

Win a football game in all three phases ( offense, defense and special team). In the same token, we must pray to the Holy Trinity.

Mmn... but without offense you can't score, if everyone did defense the game would stay tied.

The title is interesting since asking questions does not answer Protestant Questions. You see the questions as important since you felt the need to address them, but they remain unanswered. I also find it interesting how you used human logic instead of the Bible throughout. For example, your support for the Pope as a spokesman for God was that he provides a single universal answer and teaching, but, while it may feel helpful to have a single teaching, other religions do the same, so clearly, that doesn't make it true. Without supporting your view with Scripture, the message is merely an opinion and there are probably as many opinions as there are people in the world.

The bible does not have one genre. Not all verses are written literally. You therefore need the key to properly interpret scripture. But scripture does not interpret scripture. Rather, it warns against using personal interpretations and misuse of scripture. People (sometimes with fallible opinions) interpret scripture. Even the devil uses scripture. Scripture is authoritative, but more authoritative is the Holy Spirit, who guides the Church. Besides, I find it difficult to see why Christians trust the NT canonised by the Church but do not trust the Church. The canonized NT might have also been opinions from men in mitres who just wanted to control the ignorant masses. That said, I like my teachings to come from three witnesses: Scripture, the Church and the witness of ancient Christians (especially those closest to the apostles).

@Brad Simon Brad, First, "Sola Scriptura" is not taught by Jesus or His Apostles. In order to express the truth of the Bible you don't have to quote chapter and verse, all you need is express its truth as received from "the Church of the living God, the Pillar and foundation of the truth" (1Tim. 3:15). You ignore the fact that you believe the Bible is the Word of God because the Catholic Church said it is, calling it "Bible" at the Council of Rome" of 382AD, where the Church provided its official index listing each book recognized as inspired. All these things occurred through the guidance of the Holy Spirit promised by our Lord Jesus Christ. I hope you sincerely consider such facts.

I have to say...again Father Meyer talks with a lot of spirit and is very articulate (which is why I like listening to him as a spokesman for the other side) but, if someone followed his 'infiltration' advice and started to ask me the sort of questions he is talking about here a part of an 'offensive' catholic strategy...I think I would find it 'offensive' my self...pun intended, and not in a good way...or at the very least obnoxious. Would have the precisely the opposite result in fact...also, if priests and bishops are mere 'tools' in your relationship with the Lord...if a hammer has become too old and corrupted with age and time, what do you do with it? You throw it out and get a new one! You don't place it on a pedestal and worship it as the ultimate hammer if it is passed its usefulness...and I think there is analogy here with the established Catholic hierarchy. Priest like Father Meyer in a parish are always the best, but they serve a bloated and corrupt empire.
