This homily is a sideways hit on the previous video I watched. It’s one thing to be inviting. It’s another thing to express care and concern for the person in the pew beside you. Do you even care? People have unfathomable pains and burdens, and yet people who call themselves Christians do little in the church setting to personally lift their neighbor up in prayer at the very least. To make a disciple requires first that the person hears The Word, is then invited to believe it, believes it, and THEN is nurtured along in the beginning of their walk with Christ. God does know our pains and burdens, but what do Christians do to help one another? “Shall they know we are Christians by our love?” And many churches are just so cold. This is why all Christian churches in the U.S. are dying. Many younger people are glued to their smartphone and don’t know how to act. If my grown sons were invited to a church by someone their age in the communities they live in, I’d get down on my knees to thank God. I made it through the whole video, I assume it must be different there....
