@@mylesastinnette6208 exactly lol I see complaints like this alllll the time... But that's probably how it is for EVERY COUNTRY with showing their own athletes even on their "down time" over other country's DURING their routines... Ive been a competetive horseback rider in 3 Day Eventing & some pure show jumping & Dressage as well for over 20yrs & a girl I grew up riding with for over 10yrs competed overseas at some of the top 5=biggest, most difficult competitons in the WORLD 2 years ago at only 26yrs old (which is very young to be competing successfully at the highest level & to be going to compete overseas with your horse at what is actually slightly MORE DIFFICULT than Olympic level even!) She competed in the Netherlands, Germany & the UK & I was able to live stream her cross country rides in Germany and the UK & even though they DID show at least SOME footage of every single one of the 50-75 riders on cross country, I was soooOOOO frustrated when she was on course at the same time as bigger name riders& even riders who had TROUBLE in the course whereas my friend Mackenna rode AMAZINGLY just finishing with some time faults- but they only showed her jumping maybe 2 or 3 of the 30+ fences for maybe 15 or 20 total seconds... While they showed the other 2 riders on course at the same time as her riding almost EVERY fence because they were European riders with bigger names and/or placed a little better OR because they were having TROUBLE on the course & therefore made for "more excitement!" To show them having stops or falls at fences rather than show my young, American friend having some amazing overseas rookie rounds!! Ugghh it was SOOO FRUSTRATING, but I get it! Why would they give more attention & coverage to one of the 5 riders from the US who was only places in the middle of the pack over riders from their own home country and with bigger names?! No one knew her over there & she wasnt even from their CONTINENT lol. It was awesome to even get to see her jumping 3 XC fences, but yeah, obviously I would have killed to see her going around the entire 12 minute course- but why would they show her over the 1st placed German rider or the 12th placed French rider who had a gnarly, exciting FALL on course at fence #22?! Pretty sure it's the same for every sport in every country lol. That's just how national coverage of international events/competitons such as these GOES! They show what the think MOST people will be the most interested in seeing & what will bring in the MOST viewers... And honestly, I know next to NOTHING about Gymnastics & have just started watching more & more over the past 5yrs or so- & even I'll admit- I want to see our American athletes as much as possible because they're pretty much the only ones I'm at all familiar with? And, well, I'm sure they're catering mostly to the people like muah-self who are watching... Sorry!!! 🙄

The abuse have left her broken to the point of suicide and self harm ideation. She is just one of many victims but the only Kara Eaker, world champion and olympic alternate but destroyed by a NCAA college program. Please share and repost.

Lol Tim needs to stop making references to Nastia’s gymnastics. I get that he loved her gymnastics. I LOVED her gymnastics, but it’s kind of awkward how many times during not just this broadcast, but all of the NBC broadcasts, he says something like, “you used to compete that skill right?” I know everyone hated Elfi, but I honestly miss her commentary. I think she and tim worked much better off of each other than Tim and Nastia.

Just my opinion, but the safety of the gymnast should be the responsibility of the gymnast and their team, not through the FIG capping difficulty. Banning certain elements for safety I get, such as the Korbut flip on bars and others. But capping the difficulty to me is capping the progression of the sport. This, of course, is just my personal opinion.
