That is true in gymnastics but the crowds were HORRIBLE in other sports. They booed athletes that had beaten Brazilian competitors many times and kinda marred the entire Olympics

uhhhh have u seen the men's floor final? the crowd was horrible to kenzo shirai. bc that floor final had 2 Brazilian contenders. the crowd was basically booing shirai (gold medal favourite) and he ended up making mistakes

She was scored according to performance. She had low landings in both vaults during that final, several places of deduction here… those add up fast.

Yeah she always pays tribute to the host country in her music. It’s sweet and makes everyone root for her to win even more.

FOR REAL! Floor has seen an improvement this quad but the vaulting is abysmal. They would need to do better at it to make the podium in the TF in Paris.

​@@aliciamcdonald7105 vault has never been their best event (Cheng Fei nonwithstanding) but this quad especially the difficulty gap between China and the rest of the top teams has been especially obvious.

@@allycameron2942 Yes, this quad in particular has revealed an even greater chasm between them and the other teams. The thing is, in 2019 at the Stuttgart World Championships the ladies that participated in the Team Final all had good DTY's so although no one would expect to see Chengs and Amanars from them (Cheng Fei was an outlier for sure) decent to good DTY's should not be too much to ask for. If they had those last year the team would have been on the podium in Antwerp.

Vanessa teve dois erros em na finalização de acrobacias, o mais visível na última do duplo capardo que ela deu uma corrigida pra segurar. Apesar disso foi a série artisticamente mais linda de todas dessa final!

The judges look at everything, whether the feet were pointed in the air throughout the dbl layout, the piked Arabian, etc. The splits if they were 180*, legs straight, and bounce or lack of control in the landings. How much separation between the legs during the somersaults in the tumbling runs with both Arabians. In the jump combination, the 2nd split jump was way short of 180 and could have yielded the biggest deduction in the routine.

This is a USA broadcast and we measure height differently. We use feet and inches. 4'7" is 4 foot 7 inches tall or 139.7 cm.

She shouldnt use it because the song has meaning to people and gives them flashbacks and not only that but she didplayed 0 Russian beauty in this routine, its mediocre. You clearly dont know what this song is about or anything. Russia is actually unbanned by the way, We will regain that team title!

If anything the USA has the most selfish, self absorbed, arrogant, spiteful, churlish and repugnantly disrespectful attitude while also taking drugs and steroids, I’ve said this a million times but the USA girls are built like men, Id mistake them for one if I hadnt known they were a USA gymnast. Kalinka is a beautiful song with beautiful history and I will not let some mediocre girl who cant point her feet properly take that and run with it. An athlete should use music that isn’t disrespectful to use towards others, Do Russian gymnasts go out of they’re way to use some wierd rap music? Is that USA culture? Pfft thats insanely boring, but oh I forgot the USA has no culture and they steal culture from other ethnicities.
