I have had my 2019 C-HR for 5 months, and I love this car! Its limitations include the small windows in back, but I rarely have anyone in the back, and its slower acceleration doesn't make merging difficult. It handles really well, and it's super fun to drive. Every car isn't for every person, but I am very happy with my C-HR.

Now I have the 2018 model of this car and I literally cannot drive more than a few miles before someone will stop me, wave, give me a thumbs up, or stare at the car as I pass. Everyone loves it. Now as the driver, I LOVE it too. I didn't buy a compact SUV to be a race driver in it, so what you're faulting as low speed and slow pickup, isn't a factor at all for daily use. It merges great on the highway and I have no problem maintaining proper speed, passing as needed, and so forth. The suspension is the best I'd road tested, German engineering, and it's solid metal the car, thicker panels, when you tap your knuckles on the panels, you can feel that it's a solid metal construction, not like a tin can as so many cars are. It's very comfortable inside, the seats feel really good. I routinely get 38-40 mpg when the tracking (road grip) is turned off. And with the tracking, I can drive on very slick surfaces and still have great grip, so it becomes like an AWD vehicle when needed. This car is really delightful, I love it and have had dozens of cars, all kinds and price points. Especially for the money, I highly recommend this car. And I'm a real person, not an employee, I have the car posted on my fb page and also when I was car shopping.

I had my 2019 C-HR XLE for about 2 months now and I LOVE IT! I bought it in a 2 tone paint color and would gladly do it again. For me, first and foremost were the safety features to keep my family safe. Sadly that was not even mentioned in this video. From the 5 star safety rating to the blind spot detector to the dynamic cruise control to the back up camera and lane assist, this car has safety features that many cars that cost much, much more do not even have so to not mention that is a disservice. Also, there is a "Sport Mode" that makes the car quicker. Granted, Toyota should have made it easier to get into Sport mode but it is there. My wife likes the high riding nature of the car and my wife, my teenage daughter and I love the styling. What people fail to mention are the amazing accessory parts available from the dealer. I already bought the TRD Air Intake Kit which already increased the torque and horsepower without voiding the warranty. The car is very stable at high speeds. I will soon be adding the TRD Lowering Springs to make the handling even better. Toyota even offers official Toyota Paint Protection Film (PPF) which I also added and it will ensure the front end looks good and free from paint chips for years to come. I would take this car over the Corolla any day and the fact is, I already did. BTW I also got a lot of compliments for the car. It just oozes style. I have no issues using the navigation via the Toyota Etune app from my phone but I really do hope they add Android Auto but it looks like they did not include it due to privacy concern issues which I am OK with. Just hope Google cleans up it act so Toyota will include it.

Purchased a 19 C-HR XLE a few weeks ago, so far I love it! Don't fall into the youtube negative reviews. The visibility is fine, especially with the added safety features. The CVT transmission is super smooth. Seats are very comfortable, the interior is roomier than it appears also! Only downfall is the engine lacks a ton of power...not a HUGE deal though. The front wheel drive works fantastic also, no real need for AWD...ive driven it in the snow 3 times already and it did more than fine!

They sold A TON of these and I couldn't find a 2019. go test drive this car & form your own opinion!! I'm buying one today!! What they DONT mention is that the car has a sport mode. they're comparing it to sports cars lol this car is not a sports car despite how it looks so they're disappointed that it doesn't drive like a sports car but instead exactly like a compact SUV LOL that's exactly what it is and that's how it drives. It picks up find it holds the road incredibly well and merging is no issue. Also the blind spots are really not that bad and the blind spot monitoring is amazing. It even detect when your crossing over the white lines on road.this car is great for a single or two person driver that won't won't be carrying around 230 lb grown men in the back seat on a daily basis lol. I'm a single girl with a pug and this car is perfect for me and has way more space than my Corolla so that I can bring home cool nick-nacks from the Goodwill LOL which most times never fit in my Corolla

Great review gentlemen. I’m soon in the market for a small vehicle for my daughter who will be getting her drivers license next year. I’m gonna say hard pass on this vehicle. Mainly for the lack of visibility. I actually asked my daughter about this vehicle, who is safety conscious, and she told me she wouldn’t drive it for the same reason. I’m with Nathan, Corrola Hatch is much more appealing.

I'm not a heavy-footed person, but I need to know that when I step on the pedal, it's got enough juice to quickly get me across a busy road and isn't going to lag going up steep hills. A 140hp engine for a vehicle that looks like this, is insanely disappointing. Too many other good choices out there. Toyota needs to throw a small V6 or bigger, turbo-charged 4 cylinder in it + offer the AWD version in the US, where AWD SUV's/trucks are king of the car market. If they did that, this car would rule the segment.

lamentations... we in the US get no choice when it comes to engines and transmissions on MANY of the cars we share from around the world. Look at all the engine choices the Focus and Fiesta had that we did not get. Diesels with pep, turbo charged small displacement engines, and GOOD manual transmissions. UGH!

I agree the Corolla hatchback was a better review and a better car. Your thoughts were as mine not a good transmission no power and no all wheel drive also no Android audio. How are you fastening that hula girl to all your different surfaces and having to stay on?. Now it's time for you to do one of these reviews with that Nissan kicks.

This car with out having a 6 speed manual, AWD or even better a push button selectable 4wd and the same engine as the Corolla is pretty pointless...why even make it just buy the Corolla hell make the Corolla AWD! Also CVT transmission are JUNK...they work in 4 wheelers and Golf carts but not cars and even Toyota has had a ton of recalls and TSB's regarding CVT transmission and they are hella expensive to repair and or replace.

Interesting review. I just assumed these were another fun looking AWD vehicle with a little turbo engine. I’m not shocked Toyota made a proper mess of it though. I’d rate it as a forget it. I agree with others that have said it is stupid to ask a car without navigation to give you directions. Just skip it.

No CVT you hear me No CVT - WV engineering stainless steel rubber band will break ... put manual transmission than you get more sell than CVT transmission , and another things lazy Toyota , start built your own quality Toyota and not relying on other manufacturers to built engines for you , which telling me Toyota no lingers built quality

you had someone in the back. why cut the video of you getting out of the back and getting in the front and the guy with the camera getting in back? did you jam the front seats all the way back in the tracks again when you sat in the back? the real world review would be more helpful if the real world person in the back with the camera showed the real world experience back there while driving and would be easy to show as there is an actual real world person sitting there with a camera. most of your viewers do not drive with the seat jammed all the way back in the tracks. manufacturers make vehicles that way so you don't have to remove the seat to reach under the dash or vacuum under the seat. punishing them for giving you that feature means you want pain in the ass vehicles with shorter tracks under the front seats.
