2019 Fiat 500 Abarth Review

There's no better way of describing the Fiat 500 Abarth than a little gremlin. Don’t be fooled by it’s small package, the Abarth has one of the meanest growl i’ve heard on any car. It begged to want to be in sport mode and in boost all the time which made for great snap, crackle, and pop sounds! With the 160hp coming from the 1.4L turbo engine, paired to a 5 speed manual, the 500 was such a great driver’s car. The seats were incredibly comfortable and were big boy friendly. The biggest surprise of this little guy was the large amount of trunk space available. Overall we loved what the 500 Abarth is and we’re going to miss it when they discontinue it at the end of this year.

Dang. You were able to review the sick shift. Our luck of the draw was an automatic, but we did love the Abarth, so there's that. 😂

Thanks! Yeah this thing was a blast to drive. I’ll never forget driving it up my job’s parking garage and setting off alarms and scaring people. Such a fun little thing lol.

@@bookies5309 No, he is not stupid. I must say, in term of being a 'affordable fun to drive car', there are Abarth 500 and Mazda Miata. But Mazda is a two seater.

@@bookies5309 Everyone I know has owned one, even for many years have raved about how reliable they are. You cant beat the sound either for that price!
Buy used under 10k. Add a tune, bigger turbo, FMIC, intake, and you've doubled the fun factor.

@@RyanCiocca whoa! I got my 2001 Miata for $6500 earlier this year. I know I overpaid compared to 3 years ago but I’m starting to see some at $6500 with trashed interiors and bad body damage.
I love my 2013 Abarth Cabrio. Just added a tune and eibach sportlines. 😎
Luckily, I am in Mexico now and hope to get the 2020 Abarth. And thank you very much for pronouncing it without the "h"! From a former Austinite.

Your comments are great, but wish you are reviewing somewhere in Europe. You call out all Americans are about. Lack of large engine, space, cup holders. I own one, and I love is so simple & straight fwd. Sad its the last production year, but happy I own one

The sound system was really good but the display to control it was lackluster. We didn’t mind it cause we were enjoying the exhaust growl a lot more!

The back will be a tight fit for that height. The front is fine for that height.

@@encunorth there was a slight dip in price for just a bit. A friend of ours picked one up at that time and now they’re going up. This is still one of the most fun I’ve had driving a car.

that is not 2019 car.. for sure. it is gen 1. old crap. i mean it is awesome fun little car but the gen 2 / face lift is so much more.
