I remember i saw this live and seriously, When Mateusz did the fifth rep, that is one of the most insane things i have ever seen i all of strongman. He did more reps than all the other contenders combined!. And that stone, weighs more then the strongmen themselves, 186KG to be exact. That's basically the weight of 5 Washing Machines, just to put things into perspective. And he lifts that thing onto his shoulder, 5 times in 2 minutes.... ehh....

I don't know why strongman competitions keep doing this. Learn to build proper safe events! ffs that stone went rolling off the stage. And not too long ago the stage literally broke during a strongman competition. I've seen people having better setups in their garages. Step it up, Rogue.

This is true. The Ultimate Strongman competition they had in Dubai recently was all discombobulated. Last minute event changes, rushed warmups, also a floor that was set up poorly for deadlifts (I believe it broke as you mentioned), all sorts of horribleThey don’t seem to care about the athletes. Brian Shaw talks about it in his video for the event. Also the Elephant bar is tearing up half the competitors hamstrings, including Shaw who still has yet to psychologically recover his deadlift (in my opinion) & judging by his missing an 800+ lb. deadlift in competition this year, which is normally fairly easy for him.

“This is why people love strongman”? When they have an event where the implement can literally roll away and kill a competitors momentum & concentration? Yeah, we love that about it...
