The amount of people thinking this is fake is comedic. I’ve got the 1.6 TDI 120 BHP in my B8 and I can confirm that a, it does indeed have a 6 speed box and b, the performance of mine matches this video. Even in Eco mode the car seems nippy.

@@lukasggda It's such a cliché, come on. They were bad until 2014. Afterwards they are reliable.

I've got the 1.6 Passat too and I can confirm this performance absolutely. Up to 180 km/h it is easy, above 180 km/h it is difficult, but I achieved 210 km/h and more was not possible.

This is 1.6, acceleration is surprisingly sprightly, 0-200 on 2.0 150 is 40 seconds, this was 50, it is 1.6, top speed also tallies

Mine is 1.6tdi b8 120hp (not tuned) and o can confirm that these performances are real. Obviousely the torque under 2000rpm is not so strong as the 2.0tdi

Yeah man, I was looking to buy one today and I tried 1.6 tdi bluemotion, 2015, dear God was I surprised. I only tried it because of my wife, otherwise I would not, but man was I surprised. I asked the guy selling it, are You sure it's not 2.0, because I tried few years back, b6 model 2.0 2006, it's the same, acceleration is the same, I don't get it.

@Volvo Truck 730 Except for injector problems (cleaning does the trick, replacement even better) generally yeah.

i have the same 1.6 tdi passat it's real, i managed to get mine to 217km/h

The road on which I tested this particular Passat may not be perfectly flat. That is why I'm providing a technical information about each car I test in the description box below the video. This video was captured on highway in the most realistic surroundings. The purpose of this test is not to give an exact specification of the acceleration and top speed, but to show an approximation of the acceleration and top speed under real life circumstances. Тhe result also depends on the wheels, weather and equipment that may alter the exact weight of the car, your personal experience may differ from mine.

agree, I have the same B8 DSG7 Variant, and I was surprised first time how it pushes and pulls. Higher rpms are weeker, bud from 2000 to 3500rpm the car is really quick. I am going to chip for bigger torque and mor HP and I think it will be accurate.

Top end is 130mph and just under 10 sec to 62mph not bad for a heavy car with a 1.6 dsl.

Passat Sedan or Passat Variant Wheel 17 or 18 ? Tyre summer or winter? Thanks

i think 2.0tdi 150hp because faster than 1.6tdi. accelerate time from 0 to 100 average 9sec but vw fabric tecnical result 10.8sec and 0-160 23sn that impossible

0-150 looks quite fast for a 1.6 tdi, but I guess it's still a 1.6, because he get's way too slow for a 2.0 from 180km/h and higher. I have the 1.4 tsi with 150hp and I have trouble to keep up with a 2.0 from 200km/h and higher, but it still would pass the one in the video easily. Maybe the road was a bit downhill, thats why he got the good 0-100 result...

1.6 TDI with a repro to 155 cv is the perfect combination.More fast than a 2.0tdi less fuel consumption

The engine is very quiet even though it is a diesel. When you are driving below 140 km/h the car is quite quiet actually. Above that speed there is a lot of wind noise.

is not a fake,official acceleration of wolkswagen passat 1.6tTDI is 0 to 100 in 10 seconds, just like the video. Is posible because the car have 125 horsepower,very good aerodynamics, and under weight chassis
