2018 Volvo S90 T8 Inscription Full In Depth Review | EvoMalaysia.com

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

So I drove the S90 T8 Inscription again. I swear they've updated the software because that weird braking sensation is gone. It feels as neutral as the one in the XC60 now.

    The mode you talk about in 28:58 exists on the car. You can lock the battery to not use any electricity at all. You can also charge with the petrol engine. Moreover, even with a flat battery you always have full power at red lights because the generator can feed the battery instantly.

    Big fan of your videos Bobby. Out of all the Malaysian car channels, you put out the best quality content! Actually there is a 'hold' and 'charge' function on hybrid Volvo models if you swipe right on the centre screen. 'hold' will maintain charge for later use and 'charge' uses the engine to recharge the battery (albeit with increased fuel consumption). If i'm not mistaken, the software limitation was for engine based charging. You could always charge more than 30% battery with purely pedal braking.

    Hi Bobby. What about engine noise during idling and normal drive. I think S90 a bit noisier than XC90. S90 sound insulation is different compared to XC90.

    Sj Park No. Only US and China have long wheelbase S90. Starting from late 2017, US volvo S90 has been imported from China and hence the longer wheelbase. Read that eventually, S90 production will be moved to China from Sweden, and speculate that Aseans S90 might be source from China too.

Now they are letting go that E250 for RM328,888, the mileage is 6k , do you think it's a good deal? Your opinion sure helps a lot !

    The gloss piano black plastic in this car is great dust attractor.. lots of thumbprint and dust visible.. it will be better if they reduce the black gloss plastic..

  • @BobbyAngmalaysia

    @BobbyAngmalaysia

    4 жыл бұрын

    Piano black used to be an expensive material made of wood (where the name came from) and wood doesnt have static, hence wont attract dust (my new video on aston martin dbs superleggera mentioned this). But because car makers of normal premium cars use plastics instead, no choice. Haha. But at least volvo's is minimal, the merc c class entire centre panel was piano black last time hahaha ...

    i dont know man , regarding volvos of the past,they jus dont last much long,interior always looks top notch when new bt after 5-7 yrs of ownership , it jus disolves n melts , its horrible,n they feel soggy...and no ,NOT all cars are like that....and all current volvos have their engine all based on new tech and new architecture,yes u do have warrenty but new techs in volvo u need alot of faith to have , ownership is not like reviewing them for few days or a month....im talking from personal experience with previous xc90 n v70....i dont mind the high cost of ownership bcos in this class is not relevant,bt i damn mind reliability....and so far its unknown no matter how polished the product is....the 5 series/elass u know u can have it for 10 yrs n still be strong , and their brands specialist are everywhere , probably more than 7-11 outlets....so that itself is a big peace of mind interms of ownership...i will follow the s90 in 1-2 yrs time n raid the forums n see...

    Volvo still has a lot to catch up in terms of their design. From side, the chrome strip is hideous. Again from side view, the rear lights look extremely old fashioned. Maybe how the lights are slanted downwards. Interior wise, the driver’s and passenger’s armrests just look too bulky, again very old fashioned. The entertainment system, it’s like putting a super large screen to cover up the entire panel space. Looks cheap and probably the designers are too lazy to come out with something tasteful. Overall the car is same old Volvo, even how much effort they put into it, the first glance would be really nice due to it being new but it will get boring and outdated really really quick. Whatever power output it may have, a Volvo can never compete with a BMW in terms of driving pleasure. Why BMWs and Rolls Royces are able to maintain its interior design for ages (maybe some minor changes) is because their design is pleasing and functional. Mercedes are the worse of the lot by redesigning their gear shift next to the steering wheel. A total disaster. I will never buy a Mercedes unless they redesign to the regular gear shift location.

    Geely had nothing to do with making Volvo's new cars. All Geely did is gave the brand money and told them to do whatever they want. So the Swedes went crazy and made something wonderful. Jaguar and Landrover/Range rover is bought by Tata; an indian company. So in your statement, you are stating that all their cars is just Tata underneath?

    Peter Ambrose please don't kid yourself. Do u even know that Geely is assembling most model of the Volvo cars in their factory in China and sending out overseas. Back to my point its still Geely undeeneath even though its Volvo and when Geely owns volvo u know Geely will make full use of its Volvo technology to make a name for its car that is the reason why they bought Proton solely to promote their brand
