Malaysians are the problem not the brand. When they buy a car, the first thing they think about is resale value. The new Volvo series is not even 5 years and they already assume the resale value is terrible. Their logic of resale value is like they buy the car to sell it. The second thing is the brand, now matter how tin kosong their car is, they are willing to spend for the badge just for the sake to impress others. Volvo's new cars are arguably better than the germans in the Malaysian market. But just look at the road and they are so rare.

this car beats both the w213 and the g30 as an overall package at this price point! hands down no doubt. the volvo badge is nothing to be ashamed of carrying. however, it just doesnt carry the same value as those german badges here in malaysia. up to today there still isnt that many of these magnificent cars. so rare that each time i see one i react as if i've just seen a lambo

yes u can downshift by shifting ur gear position to B twice and it will show u which gear the car is in. And yes, only downshift but no up shifting =D

if volvo come with financing plan like what mercedes or bmw does, it will boost up it resale value. as well as more service centre. ya ppl will go to germans brand becoz of the financing plan it have much lower installment and better resale value. aftersale service also a crucial thing for the resale value

The S90 can fight with the rival like Audi A6,Lexus ES and Jaguar XF as in the same segment of executive car class...

Owned a Volvo XC90 for 8 years. Wait till a Volvo reaches about 6 years old & requires suspension replacement, fuel pump etc etc. It'll burn a hole right from your pocket into your underpants.
