One thing good i like about black interiors is that they really highlight the chrome elements in the interior. The speakers and the chrome trim looks soo good with this interior. And not forgetting that wood trim, which makes the interior lighter. Its a very beautiful and maintenance free interior. The materials used in this is better than the E class IMO. The e class centre console scratches so easily, that when a mosquito lands on it a scratch mark appears. It really makes it ugly just after 1 month of use

Volvo CKD - I bought one few years ago. To reduce the cost they had neglected the sound proofing in the body of the cars. Which is Malaysia customers did not notice because it is hidden. No wonder European Volvo are more quieter tha CKD. They claimed same standard. So my car, I hv to add sound proofing myself which cost me thousands of dollars. Saw it with my own eyes when they open the door panel, seats and etc. Nothing.. Im so surprised.

Nice price there. But Mercedes Benz Malaysia have always been pricing their PHEVs higher than the competition, even compared to BMW. To be honest, i prefer the V90, cos it looks better balanced in my eyes. And that beautiful wood grain inserts should be matched with white or light coloured leather for the full Scandinavian living room effect. By default, does the car remain FWD or is it always AWD? Or does it only power the rears when needed, ie slippery surfaces or when cornering?

Hi Bobby. Great review. I believe in terms of value Volvo does offer a significant amount of tech over their German rivals. My only worry is that how is their service like ? I have heard feedback from people that service level at their centres are quite poor.

Hi Bobby, honestly enjoy your review, by far the best motor youtube reviewer in Malaysia. I am now undecided whether to go for S90 or E200. Price wise same. I know you reviewed both. For interior i guess i am ok with both, but exterior wise s90 looks sharper than the dull e-class. But E class allow us to choose our trim which i think is unavailable with Volvo. I am quick sick of black interior cause my present Audi and previous GTI have the same trim...so what you think? Keep it up..

  • @BobbyAngmalaysia

+Jimmy Puah are you ok with the E200 not having a left foot rest? I find my left foot very tiring driving for 30 mins without a proper place to rest.

  • @jimmypuah2609

Bobby Ang is it? I tried the e250 but found no such issue. I test drived both. The s90 is really powerful but for some reason the e250 driving experience is more refined and seems to be an easier car to drive. Also i find the e class cabin a bit cocoon bit definitely agree with you with the seat in e class is more comfortable maybe because it is lower

  • @BobbyAngmalaysia

+Jimmy Puah for every plugin hybrid, you need the first week to adjust the brake pedal feel you are used to. After that it'll be fine. Oh no qualms about the E class's road manners. A very refined car. Maybe you wanna try it again on the e class with regards to the left foot rest thing as during my drive with the e200 i find the lack of a foot rest rather uncomfortable. I have large feet so it holds only half of my feet.

Bobby Ang Haha... no worry. Have been driving my A6 hybrid for few years now. Do u know Merc has stop production for e250? Now only promote 2 variance -E200 n 350. so unless u can find a car with the colour and trim to your liking most probably one would have to either downgrade or upgrade.

Yet the problems are still there. Latest incident the car without any reason immobilized at north south express way. With my wife and daughter I have to return home by tow truck.

Hi Bobby, I appreciate the subjective details, but more research before doing videos needed. As a casual viewer, I know the Volvo semi-autonomous driving function only works up to 130km/h, and there's no such cap for the Mercedes S400h and BMW 740e right? So how can it be the most advanced in the market? And the sound systems too. The Burmester speakers in the C class and S class are the same, becasue we don't get the high end 3D Burmester system Malaysia.

Its scary how Volvo cars can "modified" so much with simply just a software update. This probably means the car has a ton of computers and electronics in it. This will definitely affect reliability and the cost to repair will probably be really high to replacement faulty computer parts. A car that runs so many computers to drive can easily be hacked, maybe remotely, and become a "weapon".
