One of the nicest convertibles available

I saw one of these in a parking lot a couple weeks ago and was mesmerized. I had to know more about it. I love it, and I'm not into Euro cars usually.

What an enjoyable video to watch! I liked the video work from the plane, had this sense of authenticity to it. Keep up the good work, also: where is the pup??

Hey MotoMan, I've been a fan of your videos for a good year and a half or so now and I've wanted to ask you how, given your view counts, you are able to film such amazing cars? I understand that you worked in Car Design before, but how can you pur so much effort into this if the KZread numbers don't add up (to me at least)? I don't see a Patreon either or some such, is it just the passion? I really enjoy your content, the Cara you personally like and everything you do, so please don't see this as an attack, I'm just being curious. Cheers from the south of France!

Wonderfully impractical car. Is the white leather lighter than mercs usual magnolia artico ? More importantly for half a second or so when you were effusively commenting on the lack of stacks it looked like the steering touch pad now works with CarPlay? Also have they sorted using merc maps at same time as CarPlay ? Cheers

Nice to see there is a company not only making CARS, but coupes.. and coupes with no top.. this car gives me so much hope even though its hopelessly out of my price range. Just so disappointing to see the market in general go to crossovers/SUVs.

MB R129 roll bar was the first application of a wind deflector.

Lol when you said leave you on the side of the road, I was hoping for an Alfa Romeo to make an appearance 🙈🙈

Where are the stalks! I agree, I don't want to have to look down to use something. They give us HUD, so we don't have to look down, and then TAKE AWAY the stalks. Are there 2 design groups working on this car and not talking to each other? I understand that here in Brisbane Australia, we have similar temps. During mid summer here the rule is the tops goes up at 10am and will not come down till after 5pm as our temps pass 32C. WE are now heading for Winter and our maximums are about 24 - 26C during the day. So My MGF and MGTF (modern) have the top down all the time woohoo!

What happen to 2019 Toyota Avalon Hybrid? Are you still going to air that car?

I purchased one of the early S Cabriolets but honestly I think you're better off with a decked out E Class Cabriolet 4Matic with an AMG style package, Premium 3, (select all options), etc and you're in the high 80's or low 90's with 90% the S at about half the price. And 99% of the people side-by-side can't tell the difference, just your bank account. The "whopping" 8 inches certainly _ain't_ in the back seat. Frankly I want a long body S Class Cabriolet or they can forget it. I'm all too often leaving my car home when going out (because no adults can stand my back seat) and using my wife's GLE 43. Alternatively, I'm even seriously considering an AMG GT C Roadster. FYI .. the exterior acceleration sound sounded like a lawn mower.

yep. bought my e class cabriolet with package 2. my kids don't know the difference. Neither do I. That is all that matters. Driving should be fun. And with this car driving is so fun.

The wheels are to small compared to the height of the car. Especially in the back, there's too much mass on top of the wheels visually.

Wouldn't expect the empty passenger seat to be shaking that much in such an expensive car.

I am living in Istanbul and there not always creepy old fiat's out there you were in the wrong neighborhood next time visit istinye, besiktas or etiler every 5 second you see mercedes s class or range rover and always a ferrari or aston martin in front of the restaurants a porsche 991 will not be on the top parking on istinye because of the rolls royce and lamborghini.

Well mercedes, u cant beat turkey's tax scheme. If the car's over 2000cc there is a special consumption tax 160 percent. Plus VAT over that total price. So the new S 560 Cabriolet is (150.000 USD+150.000*1,6)*0,18= 463.000 USD

Big car and small rear seats doesn’t make sense.

In Turkey, they are not crappy Fiats, they are crappy locally-built cars with an ancient design licensed from Fiat

Was indeed . . . But, was not going to let that stop me from driving an almost 500 HP Convertible . . .

I just don't get Mercedes :P I'd say they got the interior right here. Not as vulgar as the ones with shiney plastic center consoles etc. The seats looks very luxurious. And then them smack that cheap "designo" labels on the seat backs. And still that italic Arial font on the buttons and dials. The font looks cheap and Designo... Makes me think of those old SLK's with pastell colored leather that matched the paintwork. :P

Nah... I'd choose Bentley Azure Convertible.

You made a mistake....this car does not have curve control.

After watching this car you just cannot go down anymore, sorry Kia, Hyunday, Lexus just stole the design and naming, even the badge is three quarter star.

In fairness, I did NOT push this car like I did that S63 because of where I was driving it. That is why the S63 sounds like a stuck pig in that episode and this sounds kinda like mildly sizzling bacon . . .

I have the s500 convertible and I changed the exhaust, it was to boring as standard.

The lighting in the hangar is terrible
