The 11s were meant to be a statement that fuses performance (ballistic mesh, basketball net laces) with formal wear (patent leather and simplistic, yet classy colorways). People thought performance and formal wear couldn't be fused together. Tinker made this shoe to prove them wrong. Hope that helped you out.

Hey Tony, at 3:31, the cloth material you’re referring to are called Spats and were very popular in the 1920s. However, icons like Michael Jackson made Spats very popular in his Smooth Criminal video and his Moonwalker film in 1988. I actually own a pair of pure white spats with Paisley teardrop etchings that were made in France and I snap them on to a pair of shiny, plain jet black patent leather shoes and I’ve always said that the 11s gave off the vibe of the Spats, especially the Concords. So there’s no surprise that they went for a formal look, especially considering Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson were legit friends. They even did a music video together called “Jam” and they both killed it. Cheers.. 🥂

Cuz.. you aint never lied.. i wear a 15 & my cousin 10 and homeboi a 12. We got them the same time, from the same place... And there were little differences in the shoes. I dont kno if it was because of the sizes. But they are different...
