I'm wondering if you ever had a problem with the patent leather dying onto the white mesh on older versions

I liked that Vick is still humble enough to admit when he doesn't know how to do something in shoe restoration, even though he is so highly skilled. He was willing to call in someone who was more experienced in that area to learn from. Great lesson for people trying to achieve their goal.

I love how cool Vickalmighty is and I’d love to meet him in person to get some pointers on certain areas, I’ve been cleaning shoes for quite some time and doing light restorations on some personal pairs but of course there’s always more to learn and make things easier for a flawless result in the end

Vick actually knows how to re-glue the sole to the upper, he wanted to bring a special guest to do that part. Use to watch Vick in 2015/2016 and it’s a couple of shoes that he’s done the process.

It’s Easy Because OG XI’s Never Crumble It’s Going To Be Sole Separation In Certain Areas If Decide To Wear Use A Rubber Cement Glue & Heat Gun Then Apply To Areas That Need To Be Done To Make Them Wearable Again

My favourite would be the re-glue part. It is a great tutorial for all the DIY ers like me. I was able to pick up information on how I will reglue my kicks with a very limited budget. Thanks guys for the great info.

Tbh I’ve never seen a beat up concord because of its status of how good the shoe is (by looks). I’ve known some shoe heads who customize and restore shoes and concords and other shoes are shoes they rarely worked on.

My Favorite part in todays Video is the humbleness and encouraging words they both have for each other and restoring shoes, makes you feel like nothing is Impossible and super motivating

I have very little interest in shoes and definitely have no interest in restoring them, but this dude really has me believing I can do this with NO PROBLEM 😅 That's when you know someone has talent; when they inspire others! Stay blessed King!

I definitely liked him how to restore this Air Jordan 11. From the previous comments below that even though Vick knew what he was doing but still called in his boy Sal and it was good to learn something that I never knew. I honestly probably wouldn’t do it on my own I would try to contact one of them to definitely assist or take on the job for me. The purple looks flawless, like they never been worn. I understand the yellowing but the amount of filth on the shoe does not coincide with the sole.

The sole is falling apart but the tread on the bottom is absolutely perfect looking

That Salon 40 saves the day every single time!

favorite part is the gluing of the soles, because it takes a lot of patience just make it look good

Concord 11 with a bubble gum sole will be a hit period

Because these shoes are made to look beat and dirty but in reality these mfs… go in eBay get some old 11s in decent shape and get them dirty hence why they always come out looking mid new the dirt is brand new that’s why it always comes out old shoes we’ll be stained for ever

@@imissme8313 if they were actually used, you'd see fraying at the stitches or worn down soles, but you confirmed my initial thoughts. definitely right.

The reglue process was my favorite part. Now I feel like I can take on a few projects of my own.

Favorite part was the excitement of Sal to be back on the show.

Genuinely curious: what would this cost? Is it even cost effective to restore this versus buying a new pair?

Sal was so good bro, respect for Vick for letting Sal do his thing when he couldn't. that reglue process was really difficult and I've tried it before and it sticks, but there's so many window of error. Vick gave credits to Sal's gluing detail, alignment, and even asking for tips when he already famous which is wholesome af. I tried regluing my foamposite shoes, the sole was separated and I keep it on indoor few weeks. and it's true that the outsole/rubber do got bigger. when you reglue and the alignment was bad, you had to do it all over again. Sal was so careful and focused when doing it, as well as giving key points on where to start or focus. I definitely learn a lot here. thanks reshoev8tor team.

The dirt build up on some of these uppers seems kind of questionable to me like they took a mostly clean yellowed 11 and stomped in some charcoal just prior to the video. But if its real and some coal miner was wearing concords to work then mad props.
