I researched all of the cars in this class. #1. C-HR #2. C-X3 and #3. HRV were my top picks until I found the Hyundai Kona. A white Hyundai Kona Limited is the car I finally purchased two weeks ago and I'm loving the car!!! I must be one of the first on the road here in Dallas. More car, similar tech, solid build, tight ride, dual clutch 7 speed transmission (NO CVT thank goodness!), fast (especially switching from normal to sport mode, it's like getting 2 cars in one) and great styling all for less 💰💰 with a better warrantee. The only thing I see when driving are heads turning and traffic in my rearview mirror!!!

The more I see it, the more I like it! Just trying to see which is the best color. I would get the Limited myself.

I got this one today and i am pretty happy with it. I wanted the ultimate bc of the turbo but im a first time owner and new driver so it was way out of my budget (: but if you can afford the ultimate go for it!

I just test drove the SEL version with the Tech Package -- I need power seats and sunroof!!! I'll wait for the 2019 MY because much of the Ultimate bells and whistles are going to be included with the Tech Package and I don't really need a Turbo or leather seats, but the extra safety functions will help. As far as the blind spots in the back, you can remove the rear seat headrests which will help.

That yellow hand for pointing is the funniest thing i’ve seen today😂😂😂😂

Great review as always, I love your videos. I want to like this thing, but can't wrap my head around the styling. The strange Cherokee headlights. The disjointed body cladding. The weird rear taillights. Even the wheels are too busy, they look like mini Lincoln jet fan wheels. Maybe the car looks better in darker colors? I like the interior. I wish we got the Kia version in North America. (Stonic), looks so much better.

After leasing a 2013 and 2016 Elantra, I'm thinking KONA in late 2018 -- I've owned Foresters for years, until they grew too big for my needs.

I got questions though. How many pedals are in the Kona? 2 or 3? And do u change the gears just like that or theres a clutch with it so like is there a clutch pedal for that?

I'm considering this car, I like the AWD gets ok MPG inexpensive good value... but not sure I want all the cheap hard plastic surfaces, even on the limited and ultimate trim levels.

I think I like it... must see in person and drive to make a real judgment. $22,250. not bad in todays market. The black cladding is a little much and would take some getting use to. Sporty looking little Bugger !

Those are daytime led running lights( if you're referring to those narrow light underneath the hood),plus you buy a car for other reasons other than the way the headlight looks. This car has some cool options for its price point. I think It'll do well in this segment.

I'm not a fan of the Cherokee look, and I don't think Jeep is either since the facelifted car actually moved away from the non-standard headlights to a more traditional look for 2018.

Front looks like a Jeep Cherokee

Black " accents " look on anything but black. Looks goody on light colored cars.

"Coming to a rental fleet near you!" Hopefully this is near the bottom of the trim levels..... Looks like they took a Jeep Cherokee and forced it on itself with a Kia Soul. I'm sure that when this gets most of the options and AWD it'll be close to $30k and still have a lot of hard touch plastics which as you pointed out will clean up nicely but scratch very easily and looks like hell after about 8 months of even light use. On another note I kinda like the styling - don't know if enough to buy one but it's not _that_ ugly...

It's funny how this car looks like the 2014-18 Jeep Cherokee and Jeep went away from this design for the 2019 Cherokee

There is something different with your right hand..

Hyundai made a Nissan Juke. Best to buy a Subaru Crosstrek if you want a vehicle in this class. The Crosstrek is proven to be the best and Subaru doesn't have to copy anyones stupid looking and failed styling.
