@@Ian-if2lf Being a strong brick shithouse man, Eddie was stronger. Eddie looked good for 490kg here-lighter, mid comp. Craziest deadlift of all time this one is, when just the fatigue and tonnage is concerned. He was the first to 500 before Hafthor could dream it for a reason. He got stronger super fast, overbloated for the comp, and did it. He could have done with more time to acclimatize frame wise. If he had to pull 505 in 2017, he would do it way easier than the previous record. Just a steady creep would let him gain way more tonnage in the long run, but he had his niggles, and has had enough. Eddie with several more years of actually taking care of himself and seeking the best care, could go perhaps 530-540kg, eventually. Ed was usually just a bit stronger, and upper body overall he is decisively better than Hafthor, chest strength especially. As far as deads, they are at best equal, even Eddie wasn´t "the best" deadlifter, and some thought Shaw would always outlift Thor(ha),but I´d give it to Eddie. Even Ed´s strict OHPresses are way beyond Hafthor. As far as moving the heaviest weight with feet planted, Eddie was the best.

@Luke yeet So you don't know what pound for pound means? Hall is also around the same weight as the other heavy hitters this year, the statement pound for pound the best deadlifter in the world. Jamal Browner pulls 1003 pounds at 242, Cailer Woolem mid 9s at 220 and that's just the heavies. Being pound for pound the best at anything gets harder as you get heavier, that's just how the human body and physics works. If you wanna see lb for lb go watch literally any lightweight powerlifter who hit 10x their body weight in the total
