I’d have to say the hyosung looks better mainly because it’s not trying to show off with all the lines and stuff. I’d have to sit and prob test both bikes to have a proper opinion on them tho. I’m always jealous when I see a motorbike.

Why does nobody actually seem to know Hyosung is a sister company of Suzuki from the beginning of the brand. They started it in korea to cut on production costs so they cluld make a budget line of their products for the lesser wealthy 😉 Now you know, still not the biggest suzuki fan in the word but as a motorbike mechanic it is always good to know your bikes 😝

I've been looking for a Varadero and only just found out about Hyosung but the more I find out the more appealing it is. Also as a 17 year old I was 6'3" and now as a chunky 40 something who didn't do their test till now I'm still 6'3"...where does this idea that 17 years olds are short come from?!

The Hyosung looks a better buy, but If I was to return to riding a motorbike It would be a Honda first, not that their any better just that I had a few and enjoyed every minute , I've not passed the test too and driving anything is more dangerous than ever in the UK. these days but I still have the urge to ride so maybe - cheers

You sir are a legend! If only all reviews where like this, especially for the 125cc market. It would be great to see a comparison of the Hyosung vs the Derbi GPR125 and the Daelim Roadwin 125r fi. Out of These three bikes which one looks like a real size bike. I'm a new rider wanting a 125cc that looks like a big boys bike because I will take mod 1 and will be riding without L plates. Looking forward to your response and to watching your other videos.

Hi, thank you!! All three of them are good sized bikes; however the Hyosung uses the same frame as the 250 and 650 and the size is pretty much the same except for a few mm; especially as the 125 has a 150 rear tyre too. The hyosung will feel the biggest, and we hope to get those 3 in a room in the future.

Sod the Motorini! The Hyosung is a proper bike with a proper engine, indeed a V twin. The Honda Varadero had one of those - enough said! 9 bhp for a modern 125cc bike that looks like that is pants to be honest. I’d rather have a Yamaha YSR 125 or a CB125F from Honda and get 10 bhp plus build quality. That Hyosung has my interest right now. Carburettor’s are fine and they don’t need electric to put the fuel in so another plus point and you can repair them without the aid of a computer. My only concern is parts supply. I heard a while back that Hyosung was having problems with distributors and dealers in the U.K. is that still the case or was it just a rumour I wonder? A very good review this one but I cannot believe you don’t have a full license. Is that true and if so why? Best regards Scoots

Hi, Sinnis are now supplying the new Hyosung Aquila and we are waiting to see if the Euro 4 GTR comes and who supplies that. Indeed I have been riding bikes for 29 years, had 10+ bikes but only licence for 125. I have had my car licence for 28 years though. However, I took and passed my Mod 1 today and Mod 2 coming soon.

Motors for the Masses congrats on the mod 1 pass. I was similar to yourself with the license. I rode for years on L plates not knowing what I was missing but still content with the 125 bikes. I initially passed my 125 license a few years ago and then full license a year later. Because of my illness I never thought I would ride a big bike but I improved and after the test pass went straight to a Honda CBF1000. I think if you are sensible that’s fine to do and glad I did. I still have a Vision 110 for my commute to work though and still love the small bikes. Thanks for the info on the Aquila. Another well made bike that is underrated in my opinion. Best regards Scoots

If you are looking for a new bike, the motorini would be a good size for you. Have you considered the Derbi, or Aprilia (they use the same 13.8bhp engine made by Piaggio (same as my old (new) FB Mondial). However, you will be paying more for those. What is your budget? If you want more power, Suzuki GSX 125, KTM RC 125, Aprilia RS, Honda CBR, but you do pay more for those of course. Yamaha is the top of the tree but I feel too big. Of the cheaper range, you also have the Sym Wolf (11bhp) or the new Keeway RKR (12bhp) for £2500 They both have a 790mm seat height so not too bad. Hope this helps?

There is no comparison your comparing a crap rip off of a YZFR125 made of recycled baked bean tins to an actual independently designed motorcycle with a brand name accurate to it's country of origin

I have mixed views. I had a 2006 bike back in 2007...VERY unreliable, lot's of fuel starvation issues. However my mate had a 2007 version with no issues at all. The modern versions I believe are much more reliable

Motors for the Masses carb version of gtr is batter than injection version, I live in Korea and bikers are tend to avoide ride hyosung(now called KR motors) motorcycles, there is ton of issue about GTR(125,250,650) almost Ecu and fuel systems with variable electric issues. So in Korean riders are not prefer any GTR, so they call it death machine or widow maker. + now most of hyosung motorcycles are made in china( carburetor version gtr is made in Korea.)
