    I have just bought a GT125R, and it’s my first bike! For anyone thinking about getting one, i’d highly recommend it. They’re very smooth, sound nice (i have an aftermarket slip on yet to fit too) and just generally feel right. Nice size and weight as said in the video. One thing to look out for if you’re thinking of getting one, is to inspect the rubber inlet manifolds on the bike that go from the carbs to the engine. There are 2, one going into the top of each cylinder, and they are prone to cracking and creating vaccum leaks.. this can cause hanging revs, bad idle and just general issues revving and accelerating. They’re also expensive and EXTREMELY hard to come buy brand new. Like i’ve been trying to buy front and rear inlets, and everywhere is sold out. Other than that, they’re awesome machines 👌

    Just picked one up as a kind of project. I think the shifting might be gone a bit and it doesn't like cold starts but using the choke I can get it started. I like it. Think it has potential.

    I’ve currently own a 2006 Honda Varadero XL and I’m thinking of maybe swapping it for a 2006 hyosung gt125r. Do you think that’s a good idea?

  • @RevBombUK

    I would stick with the varadero, Hyosung spares are very hard to source and also they are prone to failure of the inlet manifolds and the inlet manifold clamps One customer waited 3 months to get a new inlet manifold rubber, found it on ebay in the end

    If you can get one keep hold of it they will gather money, Hyosung have discontinued this bike last year, beautiful ride and a v twin too, only issues the early ones had were the intake rubbers on the carbs cracking up and letting air in but the newere ones were sorted with better intakes. Dam good bike though ask any of the guys in the comments below @pauloliver purchased one from us

    The Hysong.. definitely, why? Coz that's my bike !, out of the two, the hysong looks stunning in the flesh, fit and finish, makes the lexmoto seem small, i tried both for size, the moto's a nice bike, I know somone who offered me one for sale, the Hysong does have that Big bike feel,and looks.

    @@pauloliver619 thats more what i was curious about is the size and feel of both bikes. Lexmotos let down for me is the lack of top end power where i know the hyosung can reach 80+. But these days i'm looking more for comfortability, hense why i had a supermoto ☺

  • @RevBombUK

    @RevBombUK

    Although i do love the LXR and will always swing towards Lexmoto, The Hyosung romps ahead every time its the feel and handling. Lexmoto is a liquid cooled 12.1hp compared to the 14.2hp hyosung air cooled little bit more torque and performance once warmed up. I would say try both but good luck finding a decent GT125r in good condition, Give it a few years and the Hyosung is going to be a very collectable item.

    @@RevBombUK i hear you mate. Not sure if they still have it but theres a place in doncaster that still had one in a few weeks back brand new with £400 off the original price. Also with you on that, i had a pulse adrenaline and followed lexmoto ever since they took over and i tend to have a soft spot for them as the adrenaline was my first chinese bike and was my favorite 125 until my mate come flying past me on a near 15 year old cbr at about 80 while i was stuck around 70 lol. Thanks for replying though. Pretty much confirmed what i thought ☺

    @@jay278822 I looked into both brands,..I agree with with rev bomb, that people were quick to criticise Chinese/ koreon manufactures,..I've meet a couple of lexmoto owner's,and they were both very happy with them, reliability etc....I had a nearly new one offered for sale, the bigger GTR suited me as an older rider, but after much researching, Hysong impressed me,I was surprised not many people are unaware of Hysong's Suzuki connection,making parts for 50ys! Google, and Wikipedia it's all there,...Also, not so long ago no one would have considered a Chinese I Fone, or Korean 'KIA' car' ? Now,they're known for their quality and awards.,The early GTR's had some build quality issues,i would say not anymore,looking at my bike, The guy who picked up my bike was very impressed, couldn't believe it was a 125, and he picks bikes up all day long. I'll keep an update on ownership,as me and my mate are considering starting our channel again.
