I can thoroughly recommend the GT125R. I have had mine for 8months I intially got it just to learn on. It will easily cruise at 65-70mph (81 indicated top speed). Plenty enough for A roads and dual carriageways. I have got a tail bag and have done some pretty long trips. I regularly ride down from London to Weymouth circa 160miles, 320mile round trip (using A303). Its really comfortable for a sports type bike not too hard on the rists. Useful upgrades are SV650 coils and regulator and a bigger 14amphr lithium battery than the stock one. You can get them from hyosung riders club. These mods increase the Torque from the motor and reduce the load on the generator. A friend of mine told me about them he has one to commute from Surrey into town he has covered 19k so far without issues.

it is great to see this video because I am really interested in Hyosung GD250N, you can't find a lot of content about it (just like Zontes Phantom S250 which is another really affordable bike) and this bikes seems like a very good option for a beginner

I had a 125 and its was great fun and nice to ride, if you want a 125cc get one of these, sounds nice being a Vtwin and even better with a blue flame exhaust system. As this is what was on mine. go down and have a look at AR motorcycles and see for yourself.

It would prbably be a better comparison to use the same style bike when conparing engines. Like the gt125r vs a gt250r. The gt and gd are 2 very different designs.

Right, I'm 5"7 (When I have riding boots more like 5"8 ;) ) and I'm looking at getting a GT125R in a months time, you said it might be uncomfortable for someone below 5"10, as in, unrideable and unsafe, or do you just mean your bellys poking the petrol tank? (I'm 9 stone so I'm not sure we have the same issues)

@@ethandavis8565 They are large. If you are 5ft 10 and above, you should be fine, under that, a struggle as tank big to stretch over. Pretty heavy bike for a 125 (166kg), most are around 110-130 kg. Any bike is good, but needs a bit of time to get used to. I suggest you sit on one at least before you buy.
