Great infotainment system review, Alex. You are such a descriptive and honest reviewer, by far one of my favorites. I personally love the styling of the new Pacifica and I love the UConnect system, too. I haven't tried out the latest 2017 models yet, but I have tried out the older models and appreciated them greatly. I cannot wait until I can start reviewing some more Chrysler products. DriveAndBeDriven I agree. Great review. I just test drove the Pacifica the other day and loved the uconnect. Def the best/easiest to use system currently. But I am disappointed for the lack of car play.

Thanks for replying! It is very disappointing that the UCONNECT system doesn't support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Hopefully, we will be seeing it very soon across the entire FCA lineup. -DriveAndBeDriven "The Quest To Record The Best!"

Helpful video. Thanks. However, I have the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. I am frustrated that when using uConnect Theater, and I want to change the fade of the sound, I have to exit uConnect, go to Media, which then stops playing the uConnect content and plays whatever is on my phone, until I navigate through about numerous screens, before I am able to navigate back to uConnect Theater. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

DONT DO IT!!!!. I just bought a new charger and UConnect systems have TONS of problems.

Once i pay 500+$ one-time activation fee for my '15 Jeep Grand Cherokee, do i also need to be subscribed to Uconnect for Navigation to work? Thank You

Any idea why my favorites is not alerting me anymore? I thought maybe with tha tlast update it reset my favorites so i have spent time resetting all my favorites and I NEVER get alerts that my favorites are on anymore! I can be turning through the channels...find a favorite that is playing then turn the channel again and it never has that alert at the top of the screen anymore telling me a favorite song or artist is on! I have a 13 Ram Laramie and this is pretty upsetting since I used to use that feature ALL the time! very annoying how shit works perfectly fine then they release these updates and all it does is mess shit up

My 2011 300 has no voice command for find destination nav,,, ford has one in 2009 ?

I like WAZE so I really like to have Apple Car Play. The Chrysler Navigation works okay but it doesn’t work as well as WAZE. So when will there be updates for addition of Car Play.

It looks easy enough to use but I do wish that they’d leave all climate controls as physical buttons. Those are the most used buttons in any vehicle so they should be easily accessible at any given time so you don’t have to look away from the road for too long. One button. That’s it. That’s all I want

Jay Mac there are redundant physical buttons for the climate controls.

Great review... but lol why would u want a surround camera? I can understand a backup cam but if ur driving and u need help seeing the front and the sides then u shouldn't be driving

how does the top-down camera work, assuming there isn't a camera just floating above the vehicle

Oscar Sanders there are cameras around the vehicle that the images get stitched together on screen creating a view that looks to be all one.

I believe some products from FCA coming in 2017 will get Android Auto and Apple Car play - Charger, Challenger and 300?

I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that FCA says I cannot upgrade to Android Auto. I assume THIS unit will have the features you explained + Android Auto. I need to know that if I purchase an OEM 2017 Uconnect Head unit, will it work perfectly in my 2014 JGC. Please do not be "politically correct". If it works...please let me know. I have already heard a rumor that someone put THIS head unit into a 2014 RAM. I trust YOUR knowledge of the Uconnect systems. Thank you for this great review. I am BUMMED that FCA forgot about us with the $50,000 jeeps that can't upgrade it's software. We all KNOW it can...but they won't. Thank you

No it won't work. Unless you buy other parts.

Will this install into a 2014 JGC Overland with top of the line headunit? We SHOULD get free upgrade for Android Auto..but FCA says "NO".

I have Android auto and Apple Car play in my Uconnect system. I thought all 2017 Uconnect systems had it. I have a Challenger Hellcat.

I just wish they would release a Carplay and Android Auto firmware update for the Uconnect. Not sure why only the new models get it and not the recent 2017 models. Not buying a new car or swapping the entire thing out.

about 2 years too late.. I spent nearly $50k for a 2015 dodge challenger (including extra for the nav) only to have the slowest, subpar system ever. I'm sure they will offer an upgraded unit for a ridiculous price.. hell whats another $1k to support their failure of a system?

I just got a 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona and the UConnect system is GARBAGE. I get freezes, black screen, wont turn on and already had it replaced and patched. So you're not alone, the new ones are as bad as the old ones.

Can I PLAY MOVIES from my USB HARD DRIVE (USB INPUT) to the screens at the back

how can owners of uconnect 8.4 nav, sat. wifi units upgrade the SOFTWARE, as I would even be willing to pay an upgrade fee for that android update.so far I have been told not available through dealer. this is very disappointing after spending my money on a 50,000 dollar truck. wake up FCA, new window of opportunity for clear profit to upgrade these units.

It has CarPlay and android auto. But the system it self I'd still shit. 🤦‍♂️. Sync 3 hold the trophy for best system as of right now.

I just bought a 2017 Dodge Charger Daytona a month ago and these UConnect systems are ABSOLUTE garbage. The current ones coming out have tons of problems including : freezing, not starting, screen going black and the Sirius travel link garbage, gives out tons of weather alert popups over and over. These things are horrible.

The glossy black plastic is disgusting. Poor choice Chrysler.

The Chrysler Uconnect system is absolute GARBAGE.You CANNOT have navigation on without the radio so when the radio is playing you can hardly hear the directions of turn by turn.
