Great review. I'm having trouble getting a tutorial for "tagging" a song. I tag it just fine and when I connect my ipod a message pops up that says it it downloading to the ipod but then I can't find the music on the ipod.

Correction there are 3 8.4 systems.There is the 8.4 A - Access but Nav capable. There is the 8.4 N- Nav ready but cannot have access feature added(can only be done at factory) .There is also an 8.4 AN which has both access feature and navigation.

According to the specs, the car hotspot is 3g. That is sufficient for web surfing, but you won't be able to have someone streaming Hulu and Netflix at the same time. if you want to do that you are better of using an LTE cell phone and using your provider's hotspot.

How can I watch movies on the 8.4 uconnect

Love the system; however, the Navigation is disabled when the auto is in motion. This is very inconvenient when the passenger wants to enter an address but is locked out until the vehicle comes to a stop. I understand blocking the driver, but most other navigation systems offer the ability to have the passenger use it.

If you have the 8.4, then choose to upgrade the maps, will you also have the speed limit in the bottom right and corner? Great video btw!!

I heard after about every year they may want to sell you an upgrade to the maps. I have heard they are about $100.

500 bucks is a minimal amount?

FYI: Adding navigation to a 8.4A does not make the unit an 8.4AN. There are still limitations to the A model, as it still doesn't support 3D city viewing, HD radio, SXM travel link, and SXM traffic.

Select Media , then go to AUX ... turn the volume up and you have a tom of static noise ! All 2014's have it and Uconnect refuses to release an update to fix the issue. 2015 does NOT have the issue. Again , all 2014'S HAVE THE static NOISE ON AUX mode , regardless with something plugged in or not !

My 8.4 uconnect in my 2014 dodge charger sxt has no navigation. All it needs is a special software update and it's got full navigation? .

Adam M If you have the 'A' series (his spiel is wrong about his model what he has the 8.4AN. If yours is an 'A' series it has 'apps' and can be upgraded. If you don't have apps then you have an RE2 and need to change out the radio for an RB5.

Chrysler Uconnect 8.4 System Navigation Tutorial starts at 4:12 and ends at 6:55. All he's doing is saying what buttons are for. If you have a problem using the app, this video is useless.
