The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica offers more major standard content at a lower price point than its key competitors, it also offers features not available at any price from the competition. These exclusive features include Stow ‘n Go seating, Stow ‘n Go Assist, heated second-row seats, 20-inch wheels, tri-pane panoramic sunroof, 10-inch seat back touch screens, ParkSense Parallel/Perpendicular Park Assist, 360-degree Surround View camera, ventilated seats, rotary e-shifter, capless fuel filler, LED fog lamps and headlamps, handsfree sliding doors and lift gate and KeySense programmable key fob.
With nearly 40 innovations not offered by any others in its class, the all-new Chrysler Pacifica is the new benchmark in the segment that we invented more than 30 years ago. The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica offers more features - and at a better value than our key competitors - on each and every trim level.
3.6-liter V6, which makes 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the nine-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel Economy: 28 mpg highway, 18 mpg city, and 22 mpg combined
Plug-in hybrid available late 2016.
More head room and wider interior space. The new look is more serious yet more beautiful. New LED daytime running lights that is more contemporary. The exterior design is not boxy, but more athletic looking. The sliding doors are lighter and made of aluminum. New LED horizontal modern tail lamps and the lift gate has better visibility. The lift gate is made of magnesium and aluminum.
The interior detail is not what you think of when you think minivan, the UConnect is amazing, and we love the vacuum that's built in with tools. The 3 panel sunroof is impressive. All seats fold flat for easy hauling. 2nd and third row entertainment systems that are separate. Apps can be downloaded for some fun games. Leather and heated seats, around view camera, ventilated seats are features others can't offer. In car wifi connectivity. Offers Siri eyes free.
Interior colors offer accent stitching that really give the minivan style. We love the black and deep mocha. All the new interiors are far from boring.
Chrysler Pacifica LX
The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica LX has a U.S. MSRP of $28,595, plus $995 destination.
More All- New 2017 Chrysler Pacifica:
Chrysler Pacifica Touring
Chrysler Pacifica Touring-L
Chrysler Pacifica Touring-L Plus
Chrysler Pacifica Limited
Compete with:
Honda Odyssey
Toyota Sienna
KIA Sedona
Nissan Quest
Dodge Caravan
Kids LOVE minivans - parents not as much. Minivans make a statement! This is a family vehicle and this is an extension of their home. Kids name the family minivan, which then changes the perspective. Sales are still strong for the minivan market, over 500,000 vehicles sold each year.
AWD should be coming soon.
The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will be available in dealer showrooms in spring 2016, with the Pacifica Hybrid plug-in arriving in the second half of 2016.

The mini van segment has been dying off but Chrysler makes a very good statement with the new Pacifica. Let's just go ahead and say this is the best mini van.

Drove this vehicle as a rental in Las Vegas as an accident and absolutely loved it. My only gripe is when using the turn signals I would pop the high beams on all the time by accident. If this was offered in an AWD for my snowy roads it would be perfect. Gone is the mini van not cool stigma!

I'm ready to order one. My 99 caravan just turned over 381,000 miles with no rebuilds including engine and transmission . It's had a couple water pumps and sway bar bushings. Never even had to recharge the a/c. Also a transmission output sensor ($60.). I think a lot of trans get replaced when all they needed was that sensor. Love my minivan. Still the most comfortable road vehicle ever. When I feel sporty I just drive my new challenger. But it's no match for pure comfort on a trip..

We just picked up our Pacifica on Saturday and couldn't be happier. my wife at first wanted an SUV with 3rd row seating. But the versatility of the Pacifica won me over and the parking assistance won her. If your looking for a mini van the Chrysler Pacifica is definitely worth a look!

Wow! What a beauty. Love this van. And that criticism that Paul Brian made about the gear selector dial being too close to the radio volume control is bogus. There's more than an inch between the two and they look totally different as well.

+Jeff Puha They could easily fix it by putting it where the ignition start button is (Probably should have incorporated it with the start button too), or make a safety feature in it so that the knob doesn't work without first pressing in the brake.

Question is... how will the Pacifica do with the 2 big Kahunas in the segment that being the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey. I think it will hold up well. However, the chassis is capable for AWD. So, expect this from FCA in the future.

Just picked up my Limited today and have a ton of questions... How do you activate the Auto Park? Is the Auto Park for parallel parking or backing up or both? Do the front and rear vacuum share the same canister? Can you set the side view mirrors to close automatically after parking instead of needing to press the button? How do you add apps to the rear screens? I forgot my manual at the dealership and there isn't any information on the net so thanks in advance! Nice review video by the way!

+Doug H I highly suggest you locate your owners manual. Also the manufacturer posts their owners manual's online. I do know that the canister for the vacuum cleaner is the same front and rear. And an app you just hold the button until it beeps and then the app will be on your screen.

We rented the Chrysler Pacifica Touring L. We wanted an Expedition, but the windshield had busted. So absolutely loved this van. As a matter of fact we are looking to buy one for our family. Went to the smokies for a week with 3 adults, 2 kids & 2 dogs and we made it there and back fine and the ride was pleasant. So many features I'm sure we did not use. You must at least test drive or rent this van. You won't be disappointed.

Great review!! I always love to see new cars, but my question is always. How will it last up with 5 to 7 years after it been on the road and see some real traffic or had 45 to 60 thousands miles later. Chrysler has always had an issue with dependability as it ages, and I know they have improved over the years. At the end of the day you spend your money for reliability and dependability not options. Thank again love the review... ooo Yeah 40Gs for minivan OMG.

Our Pacifica is too low to the ground. In 6 months of ownership, we had to repair/replace 2 bumpers and these computerized air shutters that break off when you scrape the front bumper. Cost us over $2000.00 to fix both times. This last time the shutter thing rubbed through the air conditioning condensor-we have no air conditioning. Don't buy if you live in a hilly area! Or get a lift kit for it!

I just test drove a Pacifica and was very suprised in a good way. didn't feel under powered, driving position was similar to a crossover. although the sienna still felt more premium. I had always hated Minivans and the stigma that went with them.. "Soccer Mom" etc.. Im a late 30's guy with no kids... so Its probably the most uncool vehicle a man can drive.. Plus everyone you know would suggest.. why didn't you just get an suv? Let me tell you.. Since I got into video production.. and also decided to drive part time for rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft.. I decided on picking up a pre-owned 2013 Dodge Caravan The brother of the Pacifica/town and country. I chose functionality over cool.. I ended up going with the SXT trim so it had some of the features I wanted atleast. It really is a great vehicle.. and has automatic everything... plus remote start.. haha If I would upgrade anything it would be the DVD player to bluray and the rear RCA Jacks to HDMI.. but other than that.. I enjoy driving it a lot and it fits everything I need.. The 2011-present models really do have a much nicer profile to them. Early models were boxy.. then they went to bulbous looking.. but now.. They are more suv/limo looking in my opinion. The pacifica is a bit more luxury looking than the caravan. I will def consider buying another after I have used this one for 3-5 years.

+Lauren Fix Thanks for the reply. I was so excited about the new Pacifica and went out for a test drive today hopefully to replace my 2014 Odyssey. It was a great car but had several disappointments: 1) the front center console does not have covered storage and is not removable 2) the stow-n-go seats don't slide forward and back 3) it's easier to fit 3 large safety seats across the 2nd row in the Odyssey 4) the cubbies are shallow and half the size of the Odyssey’s 5) the step in height is uncomfortably high for toddlers 6) the 3rd row headrests are uncomfortable 7) the Odyssey has much more flexibility to accommodate car seat placements 8) the Odyssey has simpler 3rd row folding seats I guess I'll have to wait for the 2017 Odyssey redesign to finalize my decision.

Those of us in the NY Metro area, don't do the snow tire thing too much. We are to go, go, go, rush, rush, rush, around here to find time for that. Plus lots of apartment renters, so not to many places to change the tires ourselves for winter. We prefer the AWD, 4WD, or just make do with FWD. I really do love the look of the Pacifica, don't care of the minivan stigma, just need AWD. Large SUV's are not child friendly, as the doors are too heavy, they have to climb into it, and they guzzle gas. My step daughter and I seen a Pacifica at a car rental (wife was getting rental car), and we got into it. My step daughter was in love with it. IMO, children prefer minivan (they aren't mini anymore), and we should be buying based on the need, and versatility for the family, not the stigma of one self. Good review...

Guys, you can't say Pacifica without a wink-wink-nod-nod because we know it's still the Town and Country. I have no idea what those are smoking but you cannot seperate that image just stealing a name from another line. I do agree though that the design team has moved pass the 15 cup-holders phase and that's a plus, right? Lauren, Paul, here's an idea: can you think about going behind the scenes and doing a show, at GM perhaps, and have them talk about the progression of the design software that they've gone through in the past 10 years and how it's influenced the design process. May be also focus on how they're using 3D printing as well for prototypes. Love the show.

Hi Friends! I have a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan that is starting to show it's age. It has served me well. No major problems. Just had regular oil changes, tires, new hoses, and battery. I have been looking at the Pacifica and can not find any info on the adjustable gas pedal. The Town and Country Touring L has it. I am leaning towards the Pacifica, and being only 5"1" would love to have an adjustable pedal as opposed to having to mod it myself after purchase.

Hi, I am 5' 2" and I have not had to have a extra pedal added to gas pedal yet. But mom was 4' 9" and always needed that after market piece on the gas pedal. We just bought a 2017 pacifica touring L Plus. Due to my disabilities and wheelchair I needed stow , along with passenger front seat power seat. So I had to get a higher end model . Now this model came with a steering wheel that goes forward, backwards, up and down. This helped me with the reaching to the gas pedal. This is the first time I have had my foot on the whole gas pedal vs like just half of my foot. Maybe all the trims come with steering wheel feature. I hope this helps you.

I wound up getting a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. - Touring L because it has an adjustable pedal. With my 2002, I always was kinda tip toeing it. Like you, I am disabled. I have a scooter that I use a bruno lift. I was able to keep all my seats with my 2002 and fit in my two boys and all their friends. My lift is discontinued, so I had to purchase a new lift as well. This makes the back seat unusable as it is a bigger lift. :(. I test drove a couple of Pacificas and had the same tip toe problem and was alot more comfortable driving the T&C. Hopefully, the T&C will last me as long as my Grand Caravan before I have to go through all this again. Good luck with your new Pacifica! It's a beauty.. I am loving my T&C, too! Happy Trails.

I am very impressed with this vehicle. I have a 2006 Town and Country. I just don't like the name change. I feel the marketing is going to be tough with the name change.

Very difficult to judge whether an American vehicle is reliable or not, who knows if after one or two years whether you will have recalls or not, so if you want to buy a specific American vehicle the best thing to do is to wait at least two years after the start of a new model. Consumers digest about the overall reliability of American vehicles is not good.
