From Florida, 34 years old. Yes, I would give up any car to buy the 2017 LaCrosse. In fact, it will be my next car sometime in mid-2017. REASONS: 1. Looks - to me this car has an understated elegance to it. Its looks evokes our British-American design aesthetics somewhat. 2. Reliability - Buick comes only behind Lexus in reliability rankings. 3. Comfort - haven't driven nor been inside the LaCrosse, but can tell it's extremely comfortable for American roads. 4. The great American road belongs to Buick!!! And that's the main reason. ;)

I'm in the Fort Worth, TX area, and I would jump on this Buick in a New York minute. I love what GM has been doing with their vehicles in the past few years, and this LaCrosse just keeps the momentum going. Buy American.

I purchased a fully loaded 2017 Lacrosse with the premium trim level and couldn't be happier. I absolutely love the way it rides and handles, especially with the sport setting on. It has so many options I'm having a blast learning them all. It is by far the quietest, best riding, and best driving car I have ever owned. It handles like a dream on any road I’ve throw at it, has plenty of power, gets excellent gas mileage and is super comfortable on long trips. And I think it is the most stylish car on the market, not gaudy but sophisticated in its looks and styling. I tested a number of competitive models from Lexus, Kia, Hyundai, Nissan, Acura, BMW and Lincoln and they just didn't compare to this car on features for the price and in many other ways. Anyone wanting a luxurious, quiet, great handling car, with plenty of power may want to take a look at the Lacrosse!

Beautiful car. If I'm looking for comfort, quietness, and an overall great cruiser I would choose the Buick. I mean that in the best way possible because the market is full of vehicles that just want to go fast on the Nurburgring and the cruiser segment is dying. We should have more comfortable cars and this looks like a great one.

Buick is definitely headed in the right direction here. All they need now is a car that actually appeals to the younger audience they're trying so hard to tap into. As a millenial whose first car was a hand-me-down LeSabre, I'm also quite biased towards the brand because of how trouble-free that car was, but I can't see myself buying anything in the current lineup. A V6-powered Regal would be mighty tempting though!

A Regal GS is made in Germany by OPEL. The Encore is Korean, the Envision is made in CHINA! Read the window sticker! I work at a Buick, Cadillac, GMC dealership. I moved from a TOYOTA dealership. Bang for the buck, Buick and Cadillac are way ahead of the imports. Drive a Cadillac CT6 Twin Turbo Premium Luxury or a Platinum. UNREAL performance complimented by unparalleled luxury. Bristling with the latest cutting edge safety and communication and entertainment technologies.

I would undoubtedly get this car, fully appointed and I live in the suburbs of New York City. I grew up on bucks to a degree also, but my parent's experience with them was so negative to the point that it drove them to Toyotas. I would also have to say that i this car has a strong competitor in the new MKz. I haven't ruled either out . Regardless of politics, I'm glad to see a lot of people excited about American makes again. It's very refreshing!

+mark marshall I'd buy one in a flash. My wife isn't converted yet (but she's a Cadillac Girl so we'll forgive her for that). My neighbor across the street has a nice bronze LaCrosse. Whenever I make a positive remark about the car to her, she'll say something to the tune of "you're 37, not 73". Then I just usually tell her how many "bitches will be all over me because I got the flyest wheels in the hood" and she shuts the conversation down because she wants the Cadillac CTS V-Sport (can't say I can blame her) but the numbers on that car are brutal right now (despite SUVs and Crossovers dominating the Market). My DD is a black Suburban and although we're both around 6' tall, she cannot parallel park the damn thing. I love the ride, commodious interior and the bells and whistles. The long wheelbase makes for one of the smoothest cars I've driven!

I have the current model fully loaded and this car solves all the little problems with design both inside an out. To answer your question why I would choose it over the Japanese or German competition, and the reason I give most people why I bought my current one, is that I don't want to be the 10th black BMW to show up at a party. Buick lost a lot of its prestige over the last 50 years which allows me to drive an amazing car without looking like a show-off. Also knowing quietly that my car is not only prettier, faster, and better but also way less to maintain makes me feel confident in my choice. Also, I believe that a daily driver should be comfortable and luxurious. Traffic, cruising, and just running errands you don't need outrageous power or stiff suspension. I hate the concept of a sport luxury sedan. Just buy 2 cars instead, one for sports and one for luxury. Why compromise?

I'm from Iowa, and I'm 30. Actually 4 years ago I was extremely close to buying a Buick Regal. I do my research and I realize that Buick is more than just some brand for retirees. They've turned things around in a major way and I've noticed this. Would I try the 2017 Lacrosse? Absolutely. I want to promote Buick more as a brand, thriving in the 21st century and I want to keep making people aware about all of the good stuff they're making. I know the car business is 80% perception but I want to find a way to get people to take these kinds of brands more seriously and stop living in the past.

Lexus GS/ES, the Infiniti Q70 AWD, Lincoln MKZ, and the Acura RLX are all the competitors with more or less equivalent overall length. Priced with equivalent options (AWD, ~300HP, Tech) they are all between $50k-$55k. The LaCrosse premium is about $51k loaded -- that's a price that could get you into a lower spec Cadillac CTS, BMW5, Audi A6, or Mercedes E - though you'd be missing some options. So, no. You could get equallty sized options193" to 198" luxury sedans for the price of the "nice" Buick Lacrosse. And yes, I'd probably get the LaCrosse Premium over the first group of cars. It's better looking inside and out -- and it might save you a one or two thousand. I'm not sure it's meant to go head to head with German cars -- this one is meant to battle the Toyotas (Lexus), Hondas (Acura), and Nissans (Infinti).

Hey! I'm from Toronto, Ontario! I would never get this Buick (although I REALLLLLY I love the look!). I am in love with what Buick has been doing and the cars are looking absolutely stellar! But ever since I was a kid, I had a dream to buy an Audi S5 as my first ever car I buy on my own money... ofcourse that has completely changed to an Alfa Guilia!! I would take LaCrosse in a FWD with a lot of horsepower , around 300-400 just because ...well... MORE POWER! and you said it's longer and lower so it would be better equipped with allotted extra horses under the trunk don't you think? haha! thanks MotoMan! LOOOOOVE THE SHOW!

Around the time of the 2016 Chicago Auto Show (February), I happened to be walking on N. Wilson Ave in Uptown and saw this vehicle in full camouflage. I instantly knew it was a Buick and guessed it was the 2017 LaCrosse. The car is longer than its predecessor and has gorgeous looks. Would I buy one? Yes, but only in AWD form. I grew up on Buick too. My parents only purchased Buick cars for several years until around 1985 when most of the RWD vehicles were switched to the FWD platforms. When the Lacrosse first came out I was amazed at its looks but now its dated. Been waiting for the redesign for quite some time. I only wish they were in dealerships now instead of in the summer. Personally, I like the Sangria leather interior. Buick also needs a dedicated coupe in their lineup. They should take the Camaro platform and develop a luxury coupe like they did in the 60s/70s with their Riviera model. They're coming back strong and I love it.

I live in Colorado Springs and I got rid of my Bmw 5-series for a 2018 buick Lacrosse. It has auto start BMW does not. It has Onstar, BMW has nothing. I has a 9peed auto, BMW does not, and the only need the buick needs is surround cameras to see where the vehicle is or how its parked. Other than having that is was a better option and maintenance is not so expensive as the BMW. I have the Premium All wheel drive and just love it.

I would buy it because it rescues (brings back to life) the elegant side lines (shoulders) as seen on cars built in late 1960's and early 1970's like Galaxy, Impala. And because its interior seems to be a bit larger and more refined than the Mercedes-Benz E350's. Buick is between C and S Class. But the price compensation (balance) weighs in favor of Buick. Differently from the cheap design Jaguar cars, the Buick LaCrosse is a more refined car, more expensive to build, and yet much cheaper to buy. The muffler of the Jaguar XF gets pretty close to the left rear wheel mudguard, thus obligating Jaguar to make a big cut on the plastic cover of the mudguard thus exposing the muffler to dust, water, mood. I have seen cars costing less than 15,000 USD in Brazil that have this problem fixed, better plastic mudguard covers than the expensive Jaguar of 100,000 USD. Jaguar, you disturb my patience. Be mature. Be honest!

Speaking of the BMW 7-Series, Got to see the new one today ... I'm in love :)I like the new Lacrosse, especially the lines over the rear doors ... lots of fine work right there! the wraparound chrome trim is very cool too ... the lower roof alongside the wide stance gives the Buick a really cool view ...Will I buy it over the Mercedes (CLA I'm guessing), Lexus ES or an Acura ? in a perfect world Yes... but unfortunately the last Buick was officially available in Saudi Arabia was the last RoadMaster (gray market wise ... the Rendezvous) & we never had Acura's officially here ... So that leaves me with the Chrysler 300C (5.7) As always, Excellent work M!Love the BoatShoes btw ...

I am debating between the 2017 Lacrosse Premium and MKZ Reserve. Have had 2 BMW, 3 Audis. 1 Mercedes and 1 Toyota (Avalon). This will be my first American car in 36 years. The technology that used to require a more expensive car has filtered down to mainstream marques and the US manufactures have finally upped their game on interior materials and design to no longer appear comparatively "cheap". You cannot get a similarly equipped high end car for the same money. Buick Lacrosse ranks number 1 in reliability for large cars. MKS number 2 for midsize premium car. I think the 2017 Lacrosse and MKZ are very good looking, comfortable cars and cannot justify spending more on a prestige model.

Buicks have a great value proposition compared to those other brands you mentioned (except maybe Acura), and with this one... I'm not so sure. I'd like to see a refreshed Regal, as I think this Lacrosse is a bit big for my taste. My first car was a 2001 Buick Century, and I have driven two different Toyota Camrys since saying goodbye to it (currently in my garage is a 2015 Camry SE). I like the new Buicks much better than those of the early 2000's, and I somehow have fond memories of my first car in spite of this change. I live in the Midwest US.

I judge cars and on reliability 1st and design 2nd I had a 2006 dodge magnum in 06 and that was a impulse buy and a design buy and it was a nightmare. It's a crap shoot on new cars because the reliability aspect is not there because there isn't any drive time lets say 12 to 24 months. So yes I would buy this car if money wasn't a issue over a foreign competitor just because I have had great experiences with GM. My everyday car is a 95 Chevrolet Impala ss 123000 miles and still running with the best of them. Like I said reliability 1st....p.s. I subscribed I'm a car guy..just to be fair I have owned Chrysler, ford, and Gm

+MotoManTV Do you have any idea, or information on the pricing of this car? I'm wondering if it will be close to the current one or much higher. We were just in a serious car accident and I am being pretty insistant that the new car have all the new crash avoidance equipment as well as adaptive cruise. Our outgoing (totaled car) was a 2013 Kia Optima SXL which was a nice car but with the sport suspension it wasn't as smooth as I would like. We're currently driving a rental 2016 Impala LTZ and are pretty much sold on it. We were heading toward the Malibu (the new 2016 Premier) but now after driving the Impala, I don't think I could be happy as the Malibu has quite a bit more road noise. Only caveat, the Impala doesn't have the safety goodies the Malibu does and uses more gas. We are considering biting the bullet and waiting for the 2017 Buick LaCrosse, and perhaps the 2017 Impala to come out (hoping for all the safety stuff and the eight speed trans). I can't believe how nice that Impala drives. Quick, quiet and roomy. After driving this car, the LaCrosse might be back in the crosshairs again. Thanks! John

I'd go with Acura because of resale value and customer service at the dealership. They provide loaners for warranty work. I'm pretty sure the Buick dealership wouldn't give you another Buick while your car is in the shop. Well at least the majority of them wouldn't.

I live in Canada and I'll say it Mercedes Audi's great cars, but really over priced and they don't have the best reputation for reliability. Buicks on the other hand have been very impressive lately and this car looks stunning! I do think the build quality (as of late) are on par with the German makes, drive better than any of the Japans premium brands, but still have their reliability. but the best feature about this car will be the content to dollar value . So yes I would choose a Buick over everything else in this class of car!

I personally would not choose a Buick over a more luxurious brand. I think if Buick wants to be taken seriously and if they want to attract younger buyers then they really need to price their vehicles competitively. When I think of Buick, I think of old people (sorry old people). I guess if Buick is fine with selling their vehicles to diminishing public then all the power to them. Cadillac was in the same boat not to long ago. They seemed to have made their brand more appealing to the younger crowd....Can Buick do it at a premium price? I hope so because this new Buick is quite attractive.

I would consider this car over a German or Japanese full-size sedan only if it was RWD. GM already has the full-size Chevy Impala Fwd. Buick really needed to break away and be different.

buick and merc over any car. we recall the good times of buick year model 1983 and merc + 1986 year models of 500 SEL. i would invest my money in them 100%! buick has unique style in driving besides the interior design of seats ( was not leather seats), real wood made it real car with memories. moto man u r making me tear😿😿 for the old times with buick. YES YES i would buy The new lacrosse if we have it in saudi.

+AutoRingMagazine This is one of the those times that you just have to see it in person. Those lines I pointed out in the episode really stand out when you see it in three dimensions . . . What you are most likely missing from the images is the width and character those bits lend to the overall presence of the car.

I would love to have this car, but on a $1,300 month take home income and spending out $1,250 of that in bills and two mortgages doesn't leave me with a lot of money. I am driving a 2011 Buick Regal CXL RL2, love it but trunk latch doesn't work as well as the seat heater for the driver's seat.

This is supposed to be the replacement for our next Holden Commodore here in Australia. it is def not an ugly car but not having a V8 option is going to a huge issue when the V8 takes up 1/3 of the sales. the interior is similar to what we have in our current Commodore. And the biggest issue being FWD. us in Australia like our RWD cause we like to push not Pull, and obviously do abit of drifting...lol

I think this new design language for Buick is nice, but I can't get past the badge. I think Buick doesn't really compete at the luxury car level...more at a sub-luxury level with competition like Volvo, Lincoln, and Acura. It just doesn't have the brand image that BMW, MB, Audi, and Lexus has. So I would not take this car over those. Although, Cadillac should be worried since that interior in that Buick seems to come straight from a Cadillac. Even though Cadillac is more "performance" luxury oriented, I think many older Cadillac owners might look into this Buick while younger buyers still aren't too interested in Cadillac.
