    I love how Keanu doesn't try to draw attention or intrude into any of the conversation between Jay and Hollinger. Major respect. Every time I see Keanu on anything off the cine screen, I learn something I need to imbibe in life. Neo will always be a legend.

    Why is it every time a person behaves normally, just because of their status, someone has to comment to put them on a pedestal and praise them for being so lovely. Are you complimenting them or just trying to make yourself sound good? Ugh…

    On the contrary, with making over 200 billet parts in-house, the level of customization available, the fact that every bike is a unique one-off, ABS, closed-loof EFI, oil pump system, carbon fiber everywhere, at least 200lbs lighter than a Harley, and it's a real daily, full-range rider. I mean wow, Harley can't do all that for this price, and neither can some of the more well-known "full custom" bike builders. They're right in the market niche for what they're producing as well as for what other business models aren't focused on, and it's remarkable just how right on the money they are for the price point a bike like that should have. You either love it for what it is, or it's just not the bike for you.

    @SvenTviking I don't believe it's over priced at all. Is it a high price? Certainly. However, saying it's OVER priced means they're charging too much for what they're delivering. Since the quality and attention to detail goes into every piece of these fantastic machines, the price is clearly justified for the bikes' MANY owners. You may not appreciate and understand the value, but that doesn't mean others share your limitations.

    I love Jay talked about the costs. Sometimes people don't bring it up, they just want to wax poetic about the product. Saying what it costs, saying it's not cheap but you will get a quality product is nice to hear. And he compared it to other cars and bikes. I learned something watching this, and had no idea it took so long to build one and they are almost $80,000. I would have to never ride anything else but that bike everywhere I went, lol.

  • @bsmukler
    @bsmukler7 жыл бұрын

    I think they should be congratulated for sticking with their original idea and developing it for actual, 50-state compliant production. Too me, the price isn't outlandish, considering this is in the early years and the bikes are made a few at a time. In fact, the bikes are probably a safe investment over the long term. $80,000 is less than the cost of three "regular" high-end mass produced bikes, and also less a base 911, and you get to enjoy something unique and possibly of historical interest.

  • @lonelamon

    @lonelamon

    Ben Smukler The same argument could be made for a bike like the EBR 1190rs and that bike was still half the price of this cruiser when it was new. 80,000 is a very outlandish price for something that "could" have value down the road. With no heritage to the name and such a exorbitant price tag from the get go I think this will just be another over priced "American" designer motorcycle.

    You've made some good points Ben. My observation, gleaned from American custom bike and car shows, is that there are always people lining up to spend , what, a $100,000 to build a custom Harley or Model A Coupe. Whether it gets over the barriers of too low production then stagnancy is yet to be seen. If they do and become economically viable then prices may fall. History is in the making.

Blown away when I saw this one with Jays Garage by the airport which I did some structural steel work on and then to see Gard who I had not seen since his shop was across from ours and he and his then partner were juicing up the new Indians that briefly came back out. All TOP notch motorists. I was jealous of Leno’s bikes then especially his Brough. This wis an awesome trip down memory lane. I wish all of them Godspeed in there endeavors.
