2016 Lonely Speck Meetup Recap
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Want to know what the 2016 Lonely Speck Meetup was like? We had around one hundred other friends and astrophotographers attend the first ever Lonely Speck meetup in Trona Pinnacles, California on July 30th, 2016. It was a night of meeting many new friends from all over the world in one of the most spectacular places to see the night sky. I surprised Diana (and everyone else) by asking Diana to marry me. (She said "YES!") This video is a quick summary of the amazing night we had with so many of you at the 2016 Lonely Speck Meetup.

Hi Ian, congrats again! I just bought the a7rii and I'm having trouble deciding which lens to buy. My decision comes down to the Zeiss Batis 18mm f2.8 or the Sony 24-70mm f2.8 GM. I live in NYC and I think this is an important factor to consider when making my choice. The reason why I want the Batis is because I do a fare amount of landscape photography, but no astro since there's a lot of light pollution. The reason why I want the Sony is because it's versatile and occasionally I help friends shoot weddings, new born, maternity, etc. I don't think the Batis an be used for street photography and the Sony is so big and heavy. Knowing a little about myself and my negatives, what are your thoughts on the lens I should buy?
Congrats dude and cool video you should come over to Washington state some time bro
Congratulations, btw looks like speck wasn't so lonely :-)
2017 meetup should be in Colorado :)
Would be great when we could see the video of the workshop in Germany too. It is not opened for our country. Thank you.
This is superb! i'd love to come for the 2017 meetup, we have some pretty clear skies in Kenya as well but not the same as this, how long is an average long exposure length?
When is the next meetup? :)
Welcome to New Zealand you guys. Get down to the south island, away from all the city lights

we're working on it! these roads are very windy and take was way longer to get from A to B than what Google maps tells you!
