    I agree on the 899 thoughts. I felt it lacked a good powerband and it was extremely uncomfortable. Hopefully this bike redeems the 899.

    So it's basically a Liter bike, street and track friendly usable and not too costly, almost makes the 1299 obsolete unless you feel like spending almost 10 grand more for roughly the same experience.

    does the 959 painy have clear coat unlike the 899?

    I thought this bike was supposed to be equipped with "shotgun" style exhaust? And I THOUGHT I heard MCN say it also has a slipper clutch as well as DQS

    +ferrari575guru The European models have the canister exhausts to meet emission standards. The 959 does have a slipper clutch & DQS (upshifting only)

    Great review. But i think this bike is going to be hard to sell? Seeing that you can pick up a 1199 for about the same price! I understand that this model is more "street friendly" but a 1199 in "wet mode" is sort of the same thing?

    +tracyis300 Not at all. I haven't ridden the 959, but ive ridden the 899 (the predecessor of the 959) and the 1199. They feel completely different, the 899 is more comfortable, torquier in low revs and cheaper to run (so i've been told). The 1199 has a terribly heavy clutch, gets way too hot under the seat, the shock on the rear pinches youre leg when youre at a light, the engine really needs more revs to get properly going,...
