2016 Dodge Challenger SXT V6 Borla ATAK exhaust

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Small compilation of the car. Mostly focused on exhaust. Wanted to get a video out there so I could answer questions about the 3.6 because there’s not a lot of info out there. Many more upgrades to come to the car. Warmer humid weather so not the best performance but still averages 5.8 0-60

    Nice I'm slowly modding my v6 challenger, I had to go with an air raid cold air intake, since the mopar CAI is illegal in California, due to having extremely strict emissions standards. I got some matte black racing stripes that need applying and next is the Borla Atak. What other mods have you done to your car recently Fritz?

    Hello I’m interested in purchasing this exhaust too, however, I’m holding off on purchasing it because according to Borla the exhaust only only fits vehicles that don’t have cylinder deactivation valves. I’m confused as to what they mean by it. I own a 2016 Dodge Charger RT as well and I know that it has MDS. I’m worried that the Borla exhaust might cause my check in gone light to turn on. Has your check engine light turned on?

  • @thefritz5100

    @thefritz5100

    Жыл бұрын

    I’m sure what Borla means by it not “fitting” MDS vehicles is that it would sound very strange when the 4 cylinder mode goes into effect. I don’t believe it’s possible for it to throw a check engine light based off of a cat-back exhaust in this case. Best to email Borla about that

    Alex Carmona definitely worth it man. Before this I had the flowmaster American thunder exhaust. That exhaust was nice but it had considerably noticeable drone at highway speeds. The borla has ZERO when you’re cruising and I don’t know how they did it. As you can hear, the atak sounds awesome at idle and makes it sound like a v8. Now once you give it a lot of gas it turns into a more exotic sound (a little more like a Nissan GT-R than a Hemi v8) overall its well worth saving up for

  • @thefritz5100

    @thefritz5100

    Jennifer Trevino You can actually remove the driver side rear muffler. Just right before or behind the rear axle there’s a clamp that you can unbolt and then remove the rear hanger of the muffler to take off the muffler. This is what I did temporarily for my car before I bought the borla. I’m not sure why dodge designed the exhaust that way but it’s only on the driver side. Only downside to doing this is that when looking at the car from behind you notice only the right tailpipe because the left one is removed. All you need is a ratchet and it’s basically a free modification. Just know that there’s a gasket inside the clamp that looks kinda like an onion ring that you need to save for when you put the muffler back on. I lost it and it cost me $70 for a new one. Overall it was very easy to do and gives you a sneak peak of what it would sound like with an exhaust. Easily reversible if you don’t like it. It’s a win win situation

    First, I apologize for using a translation program. Unfortunately, I do not speak english. My question: If you drive between 1000 and 2000 rpm (RPM), how does the exhaust volume behave? If the police drive behind you, is the volume noticeable or moderate? At us the police are strict and checked immediately if you the exhaust appears loud. Therefore, the question of how the Atak behaves at low speeds during the ride. Thanks in advance.

    I recommend going with the borla s-type exhaust if you’re worried about noise. The Atak is not loud at cruising speeds, but it is very loud when pushing the car hard. The s-type is very nice and is just a little quieter

    @@thefritz5100 I live in the contryside. Since the volume does not matter. But when I drive through the city, I'm only in the range of 1000-2000 Rpm. And only there it is important for me that he is quiet to drive. I would rather have the atak, so I'm asking exactly.

    My challenger is a 2016 and I had the guys at hemifever tuning do it for me. Their website is pretty nice. I believe it’s somewhere around $5-600 if you send in your pcm for them to unlock it and give you a tuner with a custom tune on it. I bought their unlocked pcm from them with the same vin as my car for $900 instead of sending mine in so I didn’t have any downtime. Plus, now I have the stock pcm and an unlocked one I can switch from if I ever needed to
