2015 Ford Expedition First Drive Review: Is it better than the new Suburban?
( www.TFLcar.com ) The new 2015 Ford Expedition is ready to take on its arch rival the new Chevy Suburban. But unlike the Suburban, the new Ford Expedition no longer comes with a V8, instead Ford is only offering the 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo EcoBoost in the new SUV. So how does the newest biggest Ford SUB stack up against the Suburban? Nathan and Roman find out in this TFLcar first drive review.

Kinda plain looking.... Diesel please....
A lot of the comments here are dissing on the 3.5 L EcoBoost as compared to the Suburban. It sounds a lot like people who are talking without ever being in both. I have. The EcoBoost, and I was a non-believer at first, puts you in your seat in this thing. And it delivers 420 lb/ft at 2500. It has 4 way independent suspension and auto leveling. Suburban...solid rear axle and no auto level. Meaning when you tow, the truck sags. Expedition levels out. Ford also has a fully useable back seat without cramping legs. Suburban cant touch that either. A lot of people accusing TFL of being ford fanboys when yall sound like GM fanboys. Try them both and form your own opinion.
they need to bring back the excursion and put the 6.7 diesel in it. perfect suv.
best looking SUV ever
my parents have had one since 2000 and the transmission went in 2012 and that was it, still running strong. My sister got a brand new one and loves it, great off road, on road, everywhere.
itd be nice if they had a 5.0 v8 engine option
I was given this car as a courtesy car for two days while my car was getting worked on and man do i miss it :(...except the fuel economy- 15mpg. But it handles phenomenally, eats anything you throw its way, feels very comfortable and smooth.
Hey, Roman, it's really great to see you back doing the reviews. Since you've been away, Nathan has really struggled to get the job done !!!! Please don't be too hard on him though, he'd be lost without you !!!!
We just purchased a 2015 EL and it has way more power than our 2010 5.4 v8 (non EL as well). Only 300 miles on it so far and it is averaging 3mpg better in combined driving even with the bigger/heavier truck. I was highly skeptical about the ecoboost in a vehicle this heavy, but Ford has made a believer out of me.
The old engine was a 5.4L, not a 5.3L. But while it may only be a 15% improvement in fuel economy, it has WAY more power than that 5.4L triton put out.
TFL came to my home town.... That waterfall is where I took prom pictures! Little Beaver State Park!
I swear whomever put this video together suffers from a severe case of ADD. Nathan, let's check out the suspension adjustment...video cuts to engine, interior, towing capacity, rear seat, power, suspension, etc.....still hasn't touched the suspension setting.
Isn't this just a refresh? Because their due for a redesign next year right?
Yeah ford needs to restyle the expedition inside and out. Even if ford does I'll still take a suburban over a expedition why? Better looks, handling, better ride, and better gas mileage and much nicer interior
It's 2020. I bought a 16 two months ago. And its niiice..
I love Ford, and in my opinion, the exterior of the Expedition looks better than the exterior of the Suburban. The interior of the Suburban looks better than the interior of the Expedition.
Does the XLT have the Continuous Controlled Dampening suspension, too? Or is it just in the other trims? Thx, love the videos! When is the off road test coming for this?

Now that Chevy has released the z71 option, can you do a review of the 2015 suburban 4x4 LT z71? I'm interested in how well it off roads or drives in snow sight the six inches of air dam removed up front. Thanks guys!!!
I have one and I love it.
