Using the jack to hold the mount plate was smart. I used a bucket. Lol

Do you keep the mountain plate on during the summer? Does it work good as a skid plate protection?

I keep mine on year around without any issues. The trails I ride are mostly sand and dirt though. I would probably take it off if you're going to ride in rocky areas are do any type of rock climbing type things. I would be afraid it would damage the tabs the push bars mount into.

Will that mount to any quad ? Where did you get it from

No it is specific to the year and model you select when you order it
