Centennial Auto-Sport & Tire's Caleb Guindon knows what one of the most common questions is when it comes to Yamaha's ATV lineup: what's the difference between the Kodiak and the Grizzly?
For every similarity between the pair, there seems to be an accompanying difference, so Caleb is here to break it down. Think of it this way: if you want a work-oriented ATV that's also fun on the trails, you're probably going to lean toward the Yamaha Kodiak 700; but if you want a trail-oriented ATV that's also capable of being put to work, the Yamaha Grizzly 700 is probably the answer.

Hi from the Yukon! Great video! I'll be doing this tomorrow night to my girl.
Its always funny to me how people talk about the Kodiak like its only good for doing work. Nobody is riding the full potential out of a Kodiak. It has power that you will never use and rips really good. I was concerned that it would ride weird compared to the grizzly but mine absolutely rips. Im not saying i wouldnt get a grizzly but if you’re not riding balls to the wall the Kodiak will be more than enough. Mine goes faster than i think I’ll ever use.

Suspension is not the same. Grizzly shocks are longer and also have a dual rate spring. Both bikes have nitrogen charged shocks.

2” skinnier for trails and maybe 2” shorter plastic body.

@MrSprintcat I had a guy who has 1 tell me the Kodiak it's basically the same thing that's why I asked I have a Honda foreman 500 and love it its been a great machine bought it new in 2014 but I really didn't want to buy the same machine. Riding with the wife and daughter the raptor ain't feasible

@@thumperbangin2000 Quad Bike is a common way of referring to these machines. You "ride" versus drive it the same way you do a motorcycle. And instead of two wheels it has four (quad)
