Pretty reliable. See to that the battery is charged though...otherwise the computer looses it's memory = software issues

As a child a dreamt of owning an Austin Healy. My 2011 Z4 3.0i is the closest to my dream car. I drive it daily. I predict it would become one of the classics!

I have a 13 reg 2 litre sport exact same colour interior and outer and I love it especially if we get decent weather so can put top down, I love the new one but shame they didn’t do hardtop version that’s the only obstacle in buying one but going to see if I can find an 18 reg hardtop.

I agree. I'm not a fan of the new one. Will have to see in person, maybe it will grow on me. This one is a timeless design, though. Instantly attractive. Like wine, it gets better with age haha :)

The new Z4 is more like a 2 seater executive car, it’s lost its sports car feel. Best Buy the new Toyota Supra

@@luisgriffiths2714 it's sad because of the rest of the car doesn't look half bad but the back end looks like a f****** Volkswagen Beetle it has almost the same exact lights in the back as the new Volkswagen Beetles that's the most disappointing part is that you're buying a beautiful BMW Roadster with VW Bug tail lights to look at following one trying to enjoy the rest of the car. BMW really needs to get their act together with some of these new hideous designs ruining the Beautiful designs of BMWs that we always loved. I agree with you on this one brother.

Thank you! The three pedals are very hard to come by on these cars. I'm not sure how many were actually built with the 6-speed but I estimate it might be under 1000 (at least for the US)

Thank you! Yes, it did have the M Sport Pkg. The engine is the N55 which isn't an M engine. It's a 3 liter, twinpower turbo engine with 300 hp and 300 lb ft of torque.

Jorge Guardincerri I don't think Z4 came with an n55... I got a manual 35i, and it's a n54 (which is better than n55 imho). as far as I know, the last Z4 came off production in 2016 with a n54 in it.

Mark Anthony Boiser m package includes better suspension, styling, and a removed speed limiter. I bought mine with dinan (which the dealer removed during a software update due to recall, since BMW dropped it), I've since switched to mhd/jb4.

desertdetroiter just confirmed that e89 z4 did not come equipped with n55 (called my tuner shop). they are all n54. also, Wikipedia seems to agree: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_Z4_(E89) I think you're confusing it with the 3 series, which indeed switched over to n55 in 2010.

I just got a 2011 BMW Z4 and I noticed when you open the lid and you close it down a little bit and locks the rest of the way down automatically so how hard am I supposed to push down the trunk lid?

Actually very softly because the trunk should "vacuum" close. If it's not doing that, there might be an issue to look after.

Where did you see a manual? This one here is equipped with 8-speed ZF automatic. But of course it comes also with a 6-speed manual.

Definitely! It was probably around $42,000 pre-owned but close to $65,000 brand new.

He might not be in the US. These cars a lot more expensive in other markets. A pre-owned Z4 with the 6 cylinder engine and low mileage is close to $90k in South America. A new Z4 was over $140,000 US dollars in China.

I know that. Although I live in the US, I wasn't born here. Makes you appreciate everything a whole lot more since my perspective is different.

I love this car beyond words, but my god I hate that wood trim! The Carbon Fibre effect Aluminium is a 100 times better for the car!

Os 135i e Z4 têm propósitos diferentes. O Z4 é um conversor hardtop que é algo que não é oferecido no 135i que só vem com telhado de lona. Eu gosto de ambos. Mas é destinado a diferentes tipos de clientes. A maioria das pessoas que tem um Z4 usá-lo como um segundo veículo.

I Z4 nao é para segundo carro ...isso é oara terceiro ou quarto carro. Segundo carro no dia dia nao acho ...eu colocaria pra final de semana . Eu com um a esposa com outra bmw e o Z4 pra final de semana .
