own the 35is for the last 3 years as my daily and only car and I would buy it again. There is only 1 thing that I would change: 1. get non-runflat tires for better confort (especially if you run 19 inch wheels) things I would like to see improved: 2. would like better quality stereo system 3. dynamic cruise control and lane assist 4. refine the DCT gearbox to down shift faster 5. android/apple car play integration 6. being able to put the roof down up to 30 mph instead if having to be fully stopped.

I own this car, I love it, and one of the reason's I selected it over the porsche boxster is due to the hard top. Porsche is an awesome car, but they need to come up with a hard top convertible.

I have a 3.5i Put Dinan install in. Now it has 376 hp. Comes with 50K warranty. Porsche has limited warranty. Oil change is $1k. My care eats boxters.

Even though the 7 speed is fast shifting, I still feel like a coupe like this should save weight everywhere possible and come with a manual that's at least optional. That's my personal opinion though.

I have owned two Z4s one a 35i and currently a 2016 35is beautiful car,only thing I don't like is that they will not offer a manual transmission .

i have this car. i think the snap-in adapters are the dumbest thing of this car. it takes away SO much room to put thing in.

I want to get a Z4, but dont like the convertible. The 2008/09 models have the ugly round lights and I prefer the newer lights like on this one. Do these new Z4's only come in a convertible?

They are convertible hardtop only. I own two.

I agree with Will. Hard-top cars are horrible on trunk space, but hey you avoid that hideous material soft top, so it could be worth it for most.

Chuck i'm not complaining. i got my pre-owned certified 2013 bmw z4 35i with 9,000 miles on it for $32,000!!! it was practically show room condition. the odometer now reads 13,500 but i think i can get $40,000 out of it if i wanted to sell it.

+BARON Because the Z4 is 28% cheaper to buy brand new and the servicing costs of a Boxster are ridiculous. The Z4 is actually cool here in the UK, the 718 is in dodgy territory in terms of coolness. Who would buy a brand new car anyway? The depreciation would make me feel ill. Buy a Z4 that's 4 years old for half the price.

There's also the hardtop to take into consideration. Porsche has only cloth tops so that would be yet another reason.

BARON Porsche’s maintenance is more expensive but they’re alot better built than bmws are.

Limited to 130mph stock? No thanks
