I just picked up a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder; trading in a 2016 Toyota Camry. Now, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Camry, except that the ride was rough on my spine, and entering or exiting the vehicle was extremely painful. (I have severe arthritis in my spine). I fell in love with the Pathfinder immediately! It is so easy to enter and exit; and the ride is easy on my back.

I know its the "mall finder" but me and my wife went through tons of SUV's within this size today and I must say, she was absolutely thrilled with it. I think she plans to pick it up as she wants it for our soon to be baby. The seats are so comfortable in this thing and its so easy to get in the 3rd row compared to all of the other cars out there we tried! Sure its not the manly pathfinder of old but it is a great SUV!

I bought a 2013 Pathfinder about 8 months ago. It is the worst vehicle ever!!! There have been two recalls and more to come. The vehicle shudders (had to have a new transmission put in), abs brakes are defective, he passenger airbag is defective and the roof racks are constantly coming off... If you are looking for a reliable, long lasting safe vehicle Do not buy a Pathfinder !!!!!

I have a 05 pathfinder which was the first year for the last model and love it. 270 HP 291 lbs of torque with 6000 lb towing capacity. I think this one only has 5000 towing. Overall, I like new tech of the new, lighter, better MPG. Functionally better path but ho hum styling. Nissan will probably refresh this far quicker then last years model. At least they still offer Xterra with 4.0. Too bad they detuned that motor years back to push the V8. later Paths and Xterra's got 260 HP.

I own a 1988, 2 door, 3.0 v6, 5-speed, body on frame, 4x4, XE edition Pathfinder, with 328,xxx miles, never once have I been disappointed with Nissan, the only thing I see wrong with the 2013 is the very visible back door handles, and that the back is rounded instead of flat, also the fwd, wtf?!?! It's supposed to be a balls to the walls off-road machine not a daily commuter through NYC. I don't mind the interior or exterior, if I had one, I'd bolt on a wd21 frame under it, with two solid axles.

Does anyone own any of these and can you tell me if their any good? I have a 01 honda and its time to move on , it has 230000 miles and still running strong but i need more room for kids. I need a suv that will last me that long

the new pilot and sorento is coming out soon, not updated, brand new. i feel like the cx9 is getting old, i dont know when they will replace it. take a look at the new highlander it now comes with v6 standard. i would still stick to the pathfinder, best fuel economy in its class, very refined since its based on a infinity. do lots of research and test drive. good luck!

I feel like im gonna break the engine if i step on it too hard lol. And the ride feels very light. Its a good car for the money but honestly im already thinking of trading it next year . I need a v6 at the least. Maybe a cx9. Just not what i expected or im not use to

Ive had the pathfinder for a year and at 12000km ive never had issues. Leg room is an asset, even the 3rd row is good for adults for a short distance travel. Fuel economy is an advantage. On hways i ave 7-10 liters per 100km. On city it's 15l. My average for mix is 15l per 100km. A lot of the 2013's had issues with ttansmission, mine is the 2014model and never had problems. It is great crossover. Reviewers give this a not so good score because most are biased against cvt especially TFL and motoman. They just dont like that u dont get the feeling and sensation of gear shift when u accelerate, unlike in a traditional automatic transmission. Test drive one to see for urself

This could be an excelente example of design by market research. We have to recognize that SUVs owners do not use them at its full potential, and go off roading is more casual. So Nissan could be making a hit as its best case, or on the other hand, simply seppuku.

It isn't an ugly car by any means, but it no longer looks like a tough off-road vehicle. Now it's been forged into another ordinary middle-of-the-road meld between a minivan and a large station wagon. It should either be one or the other, or it doesn't have any personality in it's styling.

All that luxury is NO GOOD if the Vehicle's Mechanical is not working, my Son own a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum, his first New Vehicle that is all him, after riding in it for the first time i made no Judgement's about the quality until i Pop the Hood and take a Visual, i have done nothing but Mechanic from day one, maybe i was Born with Wrenches in hand, lol. The very first thing i take notice of is the Battery, i freak out, still having the Factory Battery, i see the Corrosion from Hell spewing from the Positive side, the very next thing is the Electronics surrounding, basically Bolted up against the Battery Box, if i would not have Popped the Hood and take notice to this and if he would have continued his marry way, all those Electronics would be TRASHED and then what, that's right, a 30,000 Dollar Vehicle wouldn't be worth ZILCH, NOTHING, ZERO and i would climbed in my 1994 Mazda 4x4, that is payed for, just passed Inspection without a Prob, laughing my Ass off at the life lesson ahead of him. One day he might see that Pop isn't so STUPID after all!!!

Some people still don't get it. Sometimes less is more, and that goes for chrome too. People think by putting more chrome, the car looks more up market, when in fact, it cheapens the look. ESPECIALLY after market chrome; it looks so cheap and everyone knows it's after market.

We bought the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder (SL version 45K) in January/13. By now, the SUV broke down 4 times: transmission hose fell off (the car had to be towed), overdrive did not work from the beginning, front lights burnt out, trunk door rubbed paint off the car due to bad alignment. All of these are manufacturing defects. We highly recommend this vehicle if you like to drive dirty service cars or unsuccessfully deal with Nissan Customer Service.

nissan is trying to appeal to the majority of suv buyers with the new pathfinder which is why they have taken more of a stylish, upscale approach to it. as for it having no personality, thats kind of subjective since i find boxy suv's have less of a personality, but hey, at least the jeep wrangler still fills the need for a boxy off road vehicle :P

If you need an off-road SUV, other options are available. like many of you, I was very resistance to the change of style, however once i test drove it few times, that resistance faded. You can't go wrong with the pathfinder.

But i even loved the 2002 pathfinder/qx4. But the Nissan that have become today is heartbreaking. Seem now all they care for is fuel economy. I mean a cvt in a max and now the altima faster than a max. Also quality is still good but not like it use to not by a long shot. Also the jeep gc is still a truck you can take off road.

I have the 2014 version of this in AWD loaded and it is really nice. Really a luxurious vehicle that we will use on long trips and something that my wife can use to get around in snow perfectly fine. Who cares if times change and vehicles look different or get different options and lose others. This is still a great vehicle that can get you from point A to point B with no problem. Just because it has become less rugged and offroadish does not mean it isn't still a good vehicle to buy. I will never take this mudding but I didn't buy it for that. I bought it for the luxury, capacity and ability to get through light offroad and winter. Nothing else...

You and me think alike:) I don't understand why people still say it's less rugged and the SUV is gone...really..please tell me when was the last time someone went off road (overland) not too many! I had an old Pathfinder...good SUV but when did I go drive onto unpaved roads..not many at all. The old Path was boxy with very bad gas mileage, felt every bump when driving and with a tacky interior...but looked really rugged...please...grow up! Bought the new Path and boy I didn't look back. Platinum with DVD screen, plush interior, heated steering wheel with cold/hot seating fans, and on and on and on with luxury features that a DAD wants for his family. If people still want the rugged look and very bad gas mileage-be my guest. I'll just drive by your old clunker and just smile inside my new Path. Nissan didn't build the new Path for the single guy or married with no kids people..they made it for the DAD that cares for his family. Enjoy your new Path bc I'm loving mine:))

The Pathfinder is being completely redesigned for the 2022 model year, and it looks so much better than the one in this video.

This "Pathfinder" was created by the same people who came up with the idea of a Harley-Davidson theme restaraunt.

The pussification of the Pathfinder. I really disagree with Nissan's CVT transmission. Sure it works great in compact and sub compact cars where economy is the main concern but it makes the Maxima lethargic, the Altima worse than the old one and now the Pathfinder will become a mainstream soccer mommy vehicle vs. a good honest SUV for recreational use.

I own a real wagon (Saab 9-5) and a real Pathfinder (WD21). I love them both for what they provide me. But you'll never see me support these part mini van, part suv, part station wagon creations. They all look the same and do nothing really well. Jack of all trades, master at none, and ugly as hell.

When every single make has all electric cars, Nissan and Infinity will still be using a 3.5L V6 haha

Nissan is losing my respect. It's hard to stay a fan when they throw CVT transmissions into all of their cars and destroying the legacy of the building block cars of their company. Every new car Nissan puts out pushes me a little further away. I wish they would just stop putting CVTs into everything. Oh, and maybe a different engine in some of their cars rather than only the 3.5 (although it is a good engine).
