I'm a Calgary Stampeders fan and I was on the sidelines at MacMahon stadium when the Stamps beat the Riders this season. I called out to Nick and Ricardo near the end of the game with a cry of "War Eagle!" and told them the score in the Auburn/LSU game. They clapped and waved to me, despite the score in the game at the time. I almost fainted =)

It always gets lost in the crazy finish but Auburn's two-minute offense to get the tying touchdown was one of the best-executed drives I have ever seen in that situation.

As a Bama fan, I wish I couldn't imagine it. Whenever I see a replay of it anywhere, I refuse to watch it because it still annoys the hell out of me haha. To be fair, I can't complain because of what Bama has done since then and in general since Saban showed up. As much as I HATE the result of this game, I would agree it's one of, if not the best game of all time.

You could argue that this is not just one of the greatest finishes of all time, but one of the greatest games too! It had everything from the blocked field goal, to the flip from marshall with a minute left, to the freaking 99 yard touchdown from Mccarron to Amari Cooper, to all of the 4th down tries, to the Kick Six. It was incredible to watch!

+ROLL TIDE Graham An absolute incredible finish is meaningless, with a spot in the SEC championship game on the line, and thus a national championship bid because the losing team went on in years following to win? This was a huge game against bitter rivals with everything on the line with an incredible finish to boot. This was the highest TV rated college football game of all time until the 2015 national championship game. This game was certainly not meaningless to the players on that field. To the fans in the stands going nuts. To the heartbreak of the Alabama fans, players, coaching seeking an incredible 3 straight titles in this day an age. Don't discredit something because the team you were rooting for lost. This is an incredible rivalry, and on this day the underdog won in amazing fashion. As a college football fan appreciated for what it is instead of responding to a troll and making yourself look like a buffoon.

Born, Raised, Still live in Northern Alabama. I was 32 years and 5 months when this game was played. I was never the same after the KICK SIX. It changed how I thought, how I feel, and how I processed events in life. Roll Tide till I die but I must confess I watch this play at least 5 times (if not more) a year. Bama was so close to being an unmatched dynasty but it was NOT TO BE. I remember laying down in the driveway of my friends moms house for 20-25 minutes after the game contemplating if it was worth it to let a game make me feel the way I felt. I decided that IT WAS NOT worth it. #lifechangingmoment.

Nick Saban is one of the most brilliant coaching minds in any sport, but nobody's perfect. His playcalling in the 4th quarter still baffles me to this day. He opted to not let his regular kicker try a 31-yarder with 5:42 left to make it a two--score game, but he brought on a redshirt freshman to try a 56-yarder at the literal last second?

This is hands down undoubtedly in the top two of greatest football games of all time along with the 2007 Fiesta Bowl, it's really a coin flip between the two for the top spot. 2006 Rose Bowl comes in at a close third followed closely behind by a coin flip between the 2007 Appalachian State vs Michigan game and the 2018 Texas A&M vs LSU game for fourth and fifth best. No disrespect to the 2017, 2018 and 2019 CF National Champship games because all three of those are deserving of a mention as well. And I guess since we're talking greatest football games of all time I should probably mention a couple others from that other league, Superbowl XLIX (49) and Superbowl LI (51) deserve a mention

This is the kind of comment that baffles me. The 2023 Iron Bowl ending was more similar to the Prayer at Jordan-Hare than the Kick Six. Georgia had nothing to gain with 4 losses already, just as Auburn with 5 losses had no stakes in the 2023 game. The Kick Six on the other hand was high stakes for both teams. Winner goes to the SEC and potentially BCS championship games. Whoever lost would effectively have their season finished, all chance at a championship lost in that moment. When only one side has stakes, it really doesn't equate to a time when everything is on the line for both sides. Just my view on it though. Still come back and watch this game because from start to finish, it was a back and forth drama rarely seen in sports. An amazing performance from 2 supremely talented teams who gave everything they had and created a timeless classic.

I love Auburns drive with around 4 minutes to go in the second quarter. The hurry up offense and a touchdown. Just seeing the picture in picture of the two coaches in a chess match trying to change the plays as they hurry up. Textbook by Auburn. That’s what football is all about.

You have to give Auburn credit for this one. Alabama had several opportunities to put this one away and Auburn held each time and gave themselves a chance to tie it up, and then win it on the Kick 6. Alabama has won 4 National Championships in the past 8 years (the run beginning in 2008). However, it is remarkable to think just how close all 8 of these teams were from playing for the National Championship. 2014 - a loss to OSU by a touchdown. 2013 - the Kick 6. 2010 - a 3 pt loss at LSU and a Camback and 2008 - The narrow loss to FL in the SEC Championship game. They have been ranked #1 at some point in each of the last 8 seasons! Congrats to Auburn for this one, but the last 8 years have been remarkable for Alabama.

Kudos to Auburn for pulling this out, but if you’re being honest, they needed nearly every break to go their way to win this game, so many easily make able FG attempts missed by Alabama. Alabama had so many chances to put this away and let Auburn hang around, so Auburn eventually made them pay?

This is the game that made me start watching CFB after 23 seasons of NFL only. You cannot understand football's future without understanding College past and present. This game is a contrast of Iformation's past and Spread to Run option, which wasn't new & revolutionary; as Vince Young's Texas used in 2006 to topple a Pro Style USC. Ironically CFB is moving away from the QB Option Run; when the NFL Ravens embraced it 2019-2022 (!?!) NFL only Fans are so far behind the curve; In 2013 a Spread option with Nick Marshall nowhere near as talented as Lamar Jackson toppled an NFL caliber Defense. In 2014 Ohio State did likewise. Then Deshaun Watson did it. See a trend? Alabama D ate Pro Style offenses for breakfast. The QB Options off Dlinemen or LBs and makes running possible on even great D fronts... where a statue QB handing off to RB just makes the math favor the Defense every time. 1 ball carrier, 1 QB, 9 Blockers, vs 11 Defenders. 2 Defenders will never get blocked.
