Agreed. The awesome thing about Manziel in that game was that a lot of his best throws & runs came more than 5 seconds after the ball was snapped, after he got under pressure and found a way out of it. That might be the key to beating Alabama, and yet neither team really has a way to plan for it.
@StormAutoAdventures10 жыл бұрын
This was the best team in the nation last season, no doubt about it. They're probably the best team in the nation this year as well, as long as Manziel can handle the pressure of being taunted by the other teams & the fans without getting himself into trouble.

To with in on the Manziel vs. Mariota debate, I find it very difficult to compare the two, as they are both very different players who are asked to do different things on offense. Manziel is asked to do much more through the air than Mariota and is probably a more dangerous scrambler as well, but Mariota is more consistent, less mistake-prone, and can throw with better touch. I would say right now each of them is best for their respective teams.

"The only reason Peyton and Tom complete passes are because people catch what's thrown to them." Your logic.
Generational collegiate player and one of the finest/jaw-dropping individual performances I've ever witnessed (same for Mike Evans and Ryan Swope that day). Johnny was on another planet. We lost this game but we never quit and we learned a lot about the future - and what college football was going to look like. It's turned out pretty well. Roll Tide.
Johnny manziel was special he did some things you only see in a video game

Am I the only one that notices this Swope kid? Manziel would not have been able to do it without him, guy is a monster.
Agreed. The awesome thing about Manziel in that game was that a lot of his best throws & runs came more than 5 seconds after the ball was snapped, after he got under pressure and found a way out of it. That might be the key to beating Alabama, and yet neither team really has a way to plan for it.
This was the best team in the nation last season, no doubt about it. They're probably the best team in the nation this year as well, as long as Manziel can handle the pressure of being taunted by the other teams & the fans without getting himself into trouble.
Texas A&M 2012 team was 🔥
I could watch this guy all day
Amazing to see how much he has progressed over 1 year. In 2012 he was run first and always looked to find an open lane. 2013 he stayed in the pocket more and only ran when he needed to or he saw a huge lane. Say what you want but he will be a solid QB in the NFL

Tim tebow was the SEC all time leader in passing efficiency and passing percentage at the end of his college career. The verdict is still out on if manziel will be successful in the nfl.
Now imagine if he was hungry for success in the NFL?... he would’ve been unstoppable
1:10 will forever be one of the coolest TDs ever. Well the moments leading up to the TD haha
He throws better than I thought, he also did a few pre-snap reads and went through his progression. Those deep throws he had were on the money. He ran too much for me in this game though. He needs to be more patient in the pocket because with his talent he can always find a running lane
First freshman ever to win the Heisman. Awesome Dude
I cry when I watch this. Astonishing brilliance, soon wasted.

After 'Bama beat Notre Dame and the Aggies beat Oklahoma, the significance of this game was huge, and Texas A&M moved from No. 10 in the final rankings to No. 5 for the season. A top five season -- ahead of Florida, Florida State, Stanford, Kansas State, S. Carolina, Michigan, Neberaska, Texas, and the rest.

Highlight reel and then lost the love and fun of the game. But what a college talent
I'm a Texas fan, but it's fun to watch Manziel scramble all over the place especially against Bama.
Blew it at the beginning too. Two 3&outs and a 4 play drive that ended in a pick. Offense did the defense no favors.
This was Johnny football career highlight? Sure he made some plays but the most part he was running for his life and getting crunched. His receivers in Evans n Slope made big plays in the game
This guy is a freshman. It's scary to think about how good he could get with more experience under his belt. Makes me respect LSU's away win verse A&M a lot more now.
This man has grit, toughness, an incredible ability to throw on the run and create plays, an edge that will come in handy, and a great work ethic. If I were a GM I would take this guy first round. You can't teach his X factor

This game made me sad :(
Manziel, as ultimately played out in the NFL, was a one read QB, and that's part of the reason why the offense relied far too much on screens for a team with the talent they had.
Saban needed a Snickers after this game.
His playmaking ability is once in a generation... the NFL QB position has changed. you can't pass up his unique talent.

quick, athletic, and mobile QB. He's also pretty elusive and can break tackles even at 190 lbs. However, all i'm seeing is these short quick throws that any QB in the NFL can make. He doesn't wow you with his arm strength or anything. I have to give him credit though. Playing against Alabama ain't easy and he played pretty damn good. I just don't know if he's play will relate well in the NFL
being an ND fan i watched this game and when Johnny Football tore up Alabama's defence i thought that Bama's defence just wasnt as good as everyone though it was. Then while i watched ND get stomped on in the BCS championship game i relized just how goo Johnny Manziel is.
Love the constant inteference by Bama CB's and Safeties - and it not mattering! But seriously refs, try watching the action this year.
For manziel to not have been playing football he sure was the most used player in madden 16 & 17 😂😂😂
Phillip Rivers has already paved the way for shit talking QBs. Manziel won't be the first.

Oh my gracias
i don't like the thought of a freshman winning the Heisman but you had to give it to him. He balled out like it was NCAA 2012.
Bama played a bad game. But the first quarter is what hurt us the most but A&M played a great game and deserved . Everybody gets knocked down but it's the Champions who get back up and Alabama got back up. 31 more days until we bring home Back 2 Back BCS Championships and # 15 overall. Not to mention we are going to be even better next season and will 3Peat as BCS Champions. Roll Tide Roll
Johnny manziel will do good in the nfl he is a heisman winner and he beat bama in 2012 and almost in 2013 and bama is a hard team beat because of they defense
Damn this offense was so fast and effiecent
What a waste of pure talent and ability. Wish he would’ve found a way to keep it together in the pros and his personal life. Happy to see he’s starting to have some clarity in his life. In regard to the game, you can’t help but feel for a Quarterback that’s trying to beat a team like Alabama knowing they can’t rely on their kicker. What an absolute dog in that game.
People talk how Colt McCoy not playing vs. Bama in the Title made no difference. Then just look at Johnny Manziel, very similar to Colt in Abilities and Size
