Our defense needs more consistency though. When they're hot they could eat a team alive, but when they're cold they might as well not even be on the field.

Facts - Bama just has to handle their own business and not worry about what others teams are doing in the West Division - the Road to Atlanta goes through Texas A&M defensive line - (Bama offensive line vs Texas A&M defensive line is going to be the biggest thing in this regular season and will show how far Bama can go) - Texas A&M defensive line is no joke - and if that LSU game was being played in Death Valley I would be seriously concerned about that, but it is being played in Tuscaloosa so Bama should handle that - yea Bama can definitely get to Atlanta - and I have a strange feeling that Georgia will not be in Atlanta this year - (about to be a crazy season again) **Both of those first 2 sacks were Milroe fault not the offensive line - should have gotten rid of the ball and then he ran out of his protection straight into the defensive lineman**

Tide startin to Roll, o line looked better, givin milroe time to read thru his progressions. Still has to keep growin in his pass game, which he has done and continues to do. Nice to see ground game also which wears down the d. Defense has solid night. For 1st time this season I felt confident on both sides together.. The OL is the problem

Good to see Nick Saban grabbing control of the lack of discipline and inexperience of not just the players but assistant coaches as well! He’s turning the ship. In these days it’s a next to impossible task. All this raw talent but the mind set is just warped. Very frustrating.

I like that Alabama is getting back to the run game. This is there bread and butter.

The alabama defense is not messing around 💀.

Jalen Milroe just ran the ball for a touchdown. He led the Crimson Tide to a 40-17 win over Mississippi State with a brilliant rushing performance that saw him run for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns on 11 carries. He also completed 10 of 12 passes for 164 yards in the win. He almost had a perfect passing performance as well. Coach Saban, please keep him in the lineup for the remainder of the season. Go Alabama!!!

And no interceptions this game. Yes he's young and building his experience, but it shows how much he can correct. Saban said they no longer have the depth of roster, and when you have young new people you struggle, but they learn very fast. Seems like he's right.

Kinda wish Saban used Milroe the last few drives to try to develop him more and get more experience under his belt but watching the offense with Simpson i see why he benched Milroe. Definitely can't afford to lose him.

@@christopherwoodson7162Also, I really did impress with Ty Simpson the backup QB, he can scramble he's got that, but he also holds the ball a bit too long still and has to make smart decisions with the ball. He's got a great arm and good short to mid accuracy but he has to be more decisive with his throws. Don't hesitate to throw to the check downs once in a while, that's on the QB coach to coach him on that little stuff.

Still makes the same mistakes. He wouldn't take most of those if he would just commit to running when he goes to take off instead of trying to stop to pass. Either take off & run, find your CD or throw it away.

Stop taking the sack , get rid of the ball and take what the defense gives you !

Bingo. Eventually after 15 million unnecessary sacks he would....... LEARN THAT. like I said, Ty showed that in his first few snaps at usf took the snap he a guy in his face instantly & throws it away comes back, lives to play another down. All good. Milroe takes the sack or trys to run & losses more. But this is the guys that " the guy " still making the same mistakes game after game. Just didn't throw an INT this game.

Marshall and Campbell looked like the 2 best middle linebackers to me plus diante Lawson in Blackshire.

At 9:50, that’s a quintessential Eddie Jackson pick from back in his day at Bama. What a terrible throw, but man that was an amazing bait by Downs. We all knew that Mississippi St. isn’t at their best, but it’s still nice to see this defense show their teeth more and more each week. Roll Tide

No doubt Texas is a great team but you can't deny that you beat a much weaker Alabama team they had new offensive and defensive coordinator new QB(replacing possibly the greatest Alabama QB in history) also replacing one of the greatest defensive players in Alabama history new offensive line pretty much 75% of team is new but that doesn't take away from the quality of team Texas has shown themselves to be and it only makes the loss look better for Alabama if they win out and as an Alabama fan I wish we would win out but I just see us losing either at Texas A&M or to LSU but I hope I'm wrong and of course Alabama would have to beat Georgia in SEC championship which I guess we have a chance at I mean we were the only to team to have beat them in the last like 2 and half years at this point😂 but we've also lost to them as well but they don't look elite yet either so this year could be wide open for anyone

Bama's defense looks good again. Yes its Miss St, but each game they have continued to improve. 4 games now with at least 1 takeaway(6 ints, 4FFs, 2FRs total) , 17 sacks, 37 tackles for a loss, only allowing 3.8 yards a carry, and 15 pass breakups. Also currently ranked as the #3 defense by ESPN. Roll tide!

Where was this energy during the UT game Milroe is love this year definitely a good choice they better play like this against every other team this year!

I think this is the best game for Bama so far, they’ve really improved and cleaned up their sloppy mistakes. I think with so many new faces on the team they just needed a few games to get settled in and I think they proved that with this game. And if they continue improving, they still have a chance at another Natty. Roll Tide!

Their defense looked really good last night. But there was one thing that they were getting Beat on And that was stuff right up the gut. Whether it was mark's or their quarterback.. I mean, we adjusted in the second half.. And I was surprised in the first half we got beat On East to, West plays from their running back a few times for first Downs.

At 4:55 MS puts in a running QB, yet Alabama did not put a man on him. In the second half MS shut down the runs between the Tackles for the most part. No adjustment by Alabama. We have a QB that can run, but no Tight End sweeps to the outside.

Defense need to be consistent and they will dominate Milroe needs to learn how to throw on the run consistently. He has receivers open but he’s to afraid to throw on the run. One time it looked bad but got to WR when needed to. He can’t consistently hit a receiver on the run either.

I got Bama winning out and winning the SEC, anybody who thinks this defense isnt the real deal you're crazy, Texas was lucky to catch Bama when they did, but its possible we may see a rematch down the road

Yeah, I believe we will win the West. We're getting snubbed in the polls though. We should be in the top ten, that's ridiculous. The defense And the running game are in full effect. And this might be the best defense we've had since 2015. They're gonna be incredible this year. But our quarterback plate needs a little more experience. Malik Benson was such a let down. The fact he couldn’t beat out Bond, Kobe, Law or Hale being a 4.3 guy is disappointing. Granted those 4 WRs are ridiculously talented. With Coach Joe Cox coming out and admitting how much of a prima donna NiBlack was, how he’d rarely run the correct routes…. I swear a few bad apples can keep a bunch of great ones from winning a NC.

they had it lol. Bama was 9th in total offense allowed per game last year out of all CFB teams. Their run defense was bad for bama standards but they still ranked 36 in that.

Alabama would have probably won a national championship last season if we had Kevin Steele then instead of Golding. Or at the very least, made the playoffs. That Golding defense cost us the Tennessee and LSU games.

The SEC is looking more and more like the Big-12/Pac-12 (all Offense, little D). The notable exception is UGA, of course. How many yards did Olay Miss/LSU put up yesterday?? If Bama can beat A&M, they have a good shot at winning the West. Of course, that stadium has been tough for them in the past. The D will have to hold up. We'll see.

Milroe getting sacked outside the pocket on back to back plays was hard to watch... just rid of the ball. I think he's trying to find lanes to run a bit too much. But he and the OLine looked better.
