    I wish David wiggins would realize he is allowed to throw something faster with less power in order to gain accuracy.. He'd be in the top 5 players in the world if he'd stop blasting discs as hard as possible

    Agreed. He has to slow it down. 280ft drive he comes running up like he's going for a distance record. He was in second place on the first tee and played himself out of the top 5!!

    ***** In his defense, I believe he is fresh out of high school. Still a great player and I believe ranked with in the top 25 in the PDGA in the world right now.. He is young and likes to show off a little I guess.. But slowing down on the run up and doing a nice easy throw would probably improve his game drastically..

    The reason he throws so far is because he throws every shot as far as he can. You can't really be the longest thrower in the world if you don't do that, and I think he likes throwing far more than winning. Evidence for that: He maintains the world distance record (he set it again after Lizotte took it from him), yet he only played 2 pro-level tournaments in 2019, and none in 2020. 2020 was obviously excusable, but he basically stopped playing professionally well before then. With the exception of the DGPTC, which he played every year until 2019, he hasn't even played an A tier event since 2015. Yet he comes out when his distance record is threatened. Clearly, David's favorite thing about Disc Golf is throwing as far as he can.

    So much water on one course! I'd be A LOT poorer if this were my local! Thanks for posting! Also: 1) Loved watching Dollar throw all those thumbers- he crafted some crazy beautiful shots. Insane, but beautiful. 2) Love the battered Mando signs on 13- not certain I'd love to play that hole, but the signs are classic...

    Schusterick had some misfires here, but damn his form is so pretty. Even cleaner than McBeth's, though McBeth is so good he makes the game look easy. I still want to throw like Schusterick when I grow up. I'm only 37, I've got time!

    on the scorecard at end it says best score was a 46 which is -8 when using all par 3 stroke system adding those stupid par 4s gave him a -14 . Had someone bogey or double bogey a par 4 or even two par 4's the total numbers would show drastic differences in the stroke numbers but not in using the negative score system.

    Thanks for the video! Great coverage. However, you used a far-too-agressive setting when you rendered the video, and as such, a good quality 480P video is better than what is presented here at 720P. It is especially noticeable in the text portions, and the tree edges and basket chains are very blurry. If you are going to the trouble to shoot, edit and create HD videos, then you are well-advised to render in decent quality, and suffer the overnight upload required to get it live.

    Jared Campbell Opposite of a tomahawk actually. That was a thumber. Tomahawks are thrown the same way but instead of your thumb gripping the inside lip of the disc, your first two fingers grip the inside of the disc. I know it doesn't sound like a big difference but they have the exact opposite flight patterns. A right handed tomahawk will fly right then finish left, while a thumber will fly left and finish right for a right handed thrower. Both are very cool shots and take a lot of practice to get right. :)

    why are they using negatives for totals on scorecard and not strokes? doesn't make sense. if someone birdys a par 3 then birdys a par 5 their total strokes would equal 6 and they would be -2. if someone birdys a par 4 and birdys a par 5 their total strokes would equal seven but they still would be at -2 . I'm sure it's not the way they kept score at the tourney but if so then I need to play in one using course par and I'd finish -20 or better every round

    That doesnt make since. If someone ends -5 on a 54 par course they shot a 49. If someone else shoots a -6 they end at 48. -7 would be 47 its all the same

    if there were four par 4's on an 18 hole course , one guy could get a 5 on each of of four par 4s giving them +4 . If another guy got four 5's but on all par 3s they would be +8 . they would both have the same number of strokes on the scorecard but by using the negative counting system the winner is the one who shoots fives on the par 4's and not the par 3's. So question is.... who really won the tournament and can we just keep it all par 3 and course par of 54 strokes so amateurs don't take up space on the pro brackets by getting lucky every time a pro does bad on a par 4

  • @tuckerthomas6347

    Why are you so worried about this? Score is kept relative to par designated for the course so everyone is playing the same holes with the same par. Your examples are basically saying that a 60 on a par 50 course is the same as a 60 on a par 70 course which makes no sense. Score is only relative to the course you are playing.

  • @smokestakz

    @smokestakz

    9 жыл бұрын

    Tucker Thomas and really its not even that deep, score is relative to the other players regardless of par...........if course par is 65 but you shoot 55 it doesn't matter if you are -10 if the guy next to you shot 54...how he shot 54 is besides the point...he could shoot it with 4 double bogeys... Benno Ellenbecker have you never watched golf of any sort?

  • @smokestakz

    @smokestakz

    9 жыл бұрын

    and just to make what you said clear....you have a invalid point. take your case of a guy that shoots a 5 on 4 par 4s and a guy that shoots 5 on 4 par 3s....you didn't include the other variables...even if its just him verse one other player....but I will. lets take him (y) vs guy x...so guy y gets +4 on those holes but pars everything else including those par 3s (and everything else is a par 4) so he shoots a 72...guy x....shoots 5s on those 3s but pars everything else...his score would be 76...so x would beat y by 4 points but that's only ASSUMING that each player parred each other hole besides those 8. your little system doesn't include for the other ten baskets....so no 5s on 4 par 4s for guy x and 5s on 4 par 3s for guy y actually equal 20 strokes relative to eachother and nothing else until the rest of the scorecard is filled in...

    If both players scored four 5s over the course of the round, they would both end up with the same number of strokes AND the same score in relation to par. In your scenario, player B would indeed be +8 for those four par threes, but he'd be -4 on the par fours, giving him a total of +4. It's not rocket surgery
