Going the Distance with David Wiggins, Jr.: Episode 3: How He Bombs

Спорт

In this video, world distance champion David Wiggins, Jr., shows you how to go longer with your disc golf drives, corrects some mistakes that amateurs often make while driving, and offers advanced tips for adding that critical 50-75 feet to any drive.
In the first part of the video, Wiggins meets a local player, Zac Cooper, for the first time and gives him impromptu, on-the-fly advice that can be applied to almost any amateur player's game.
Filmed at the High Point Athletic Complex in High Point, NC.
"Going the Distance" episodes are also available on Blu-ray and DVD. Contact McFlySoHigh Video for more details. All proceeds from disc sales go directly toward supporting Wiggins' and McFlySoHigh's 2014 tour.

I love these. I might love them more if: -Explanations were scripted, and voiced-over stills or short clips of the objective (e.g. grip) -Giving David a lapel mike so that he's free to turn from the camera when appropriate -Zooming out a little bit to show hips and footwork during throws Keep up the awesome work, Marty and David!

Thanks! Valid points, all. I wish I could've stuck a lapel mic on Dave like I did on "In the Bag," but it's got a standard 20-ft. cord on it, making it impractical for the "run & gun" segments like you see here. Sure wish I had a Bluetooth/wireless lav mic, but they're expensive. :/

David Wiggins was playing before he was a professional or on top of that before he had the 800+ drive. So he knows a lot of people in the disc golf community of North Carolina and has made a lot of friendships and relationships learning to play disc golf.

The one thing with this video that David NEEDS to do is what he tells other people to do.He does not. Says not to bend your body.He bends big time.States to throw flat and not upward. He throws with a upward angel. Soooo whats up David?

He said not to bend your body downward because it causes you to throw at an upward motion. What David is doing is rotating his upper-body to provide a smoother follow-through, creating more distance in a throw due to the shoulders being in-line with the hips. And as to throwing with an upward angle. Yes he does do that, but the way he releases the disc with the extra snap of the wrist, turns the disc over into an anhyzer and actually creates even more distance. David was giving him advice of how to release the disc smoother with better height to prevent getting him into different habits before trying more advanced techniques.

No he needs to pull them up. that will help keep the jeans up more so he does not have to worry about tripping over the bottoms of his jeans. I never ever sagged my jeans like he does, the other guy has his jeans practically hanging off his butt.
