Really surprised with how nice this car is. I'd never buy it for myself but the faithful will love it.

I just traded my g35 in on the Buick lacrosse touring. This car is the full package, you don't see it every where because people like myself looked at it like grand pa car. When the dealer showed it to me I was shocked. My 17 teen yr. old son looked at it and said dad you can give me this. I showed him the $40,535 sticker, top of the line car, it and upgraded CTS, that right CTS. When I ride all heads turn, the Lexus, cad, infini , BMW, driving people are looking. My grandmother always said you get a Buick and you got something. She was right then and now.

I have a 2012 Buick Lacross cxs and it is my first. I work for a dealership and after road testing a Lexus and then i rode tested the lacross i ended up buying the lacross. On a 10 minute road test with the sales guy my 7yr old fell a sleep in the back seat thats how smooth this car rides, love it!

It has a switch blade key in case the battery in the key dies you can still open the car door. Then the cup holder comes out so you can place the dead key in the ignition spot that they carved out in the center console so you can still start the car with the dead key.

hmmmmm I believe it's the fob you need to fit the cutout because there is no key hole for the key, you'd need the fob to snap into it's spot to press the start button I believe? lol you might be stuck with the fob

I loved your review! the heck with the nay sayers. There are always one or two with negative comments. I love this car. I am going on my forth day owning a Lacrosse Premium 3 loaded! I even have the dark tinted windows. One day it rained most the way to Louisiana and back to Texas and it drove like a dream even on wet pavement. I cannot wait for warmer weather to slide my moon roof back and feel the fresh air. Oh yes the Harman Kardon radio and 11 speakers are the best especially with XM clear radio! This car drives so good and the seats are the best for a restful drive.

When my grandpa's 93 camry was in an accident he looked at one of these as his next car and really liked it but didn't want it because he said it made him feel old so he bought another camry.......yay. At least this had some style and freaking luxury the camry just has cheap plastics and the hardest seats I have ever felt!

I try to bring more of my own opinion and taste in my videos to help differentiate them from his, the one thing I cannot stand are the ppl who just copy his style instead of being original

The Regal had some decent styling elements in my eyes, I don't mind the exterior as much its just the interior that I dont like. Which Regal do you have? I'd love to test drive a GS but I read a lot of reviews about how disappointing it is.

I have the RL6. Was the highest option package available. The GS wasn't out yet when I bought, and I never got to test one. Everything I read about the GS said it was great; it was the intense performance enthusiasts who were disappointed because it didn't match the performance of the '87 GNX. But it wasn't supposed to. Buick is marketing "responsible performance" as they call it. Still the GS is autobahn tested, and has more horsepower per liter than any other sport sedan on the market.

If you're reviewing a Buick you HAVE to know the history a bit! They're the oldest surviving automaker in the world. They don't compete with Ford or Toyota; they don't have any desire to either. They compete with Lexus, Acura, Infiniti, etc (look it up). The fake hood vents are called "portholes" (classic Buick). Chrome is on the car for a reason to separate it from classless cars like Toyota, Ford (the common person's car), and the styling is classic Buick (who always focused on style).

I'm not sure what it is with 41-year-olds and this car, but I've got one too. Same color, with the spoiler, and I've added the ambient interior light kit (footwells and cupholders). I love the refined power and comfort. Funny you were looking for an interior trunk release. My wife looked for it for like 5 minutes before giving up. I was surprised to hear that you were so "surprised" ... you should pay attention to Buick a bit more -- it's definitely not your grandpa's car!!

In my 20's? I remember thinking BMW's were pretty nice. Porsche, too. Back then I couldn't say Acura or Lexus made anything that appealed to me. Nor did Audi (though I like Audi's today). When I was 20 I had an '86 Trans Am. I moved up to a 325i when I was 25. I bought the Regal last year after my wife traded her Lexus GS for the Lacrosse and we love it. Buick carries a long history of being "the doctor's car" -- prestige w/out flaunting it-- and they carry it well, IMO. Couldn't go back to BMW.

Also if your key fob battery dies, or loses its transmission it will open up the door and you can reprogram the key fob under the center cup holders, by placing it in position. The dealer should help shed more light or info on this procedure. I alway love to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

I mixed up Verona with Verano because there is an 04 Suzuki Verona on the lot haha. They could very well be targeting Gen X, I wouldn't be surprised if they were. And hey, I wasn't dissing your car because I am sure they are very nice. Personally for myself I'd take a TSX over the Regal any day just bc I am not of fan of the chrome everywhere and the over-styled exterior and interior. I do think a lot of their cars are very over-weight as they weigh several hundred more lbs vs the competition.

Agreed, I won't argue with you that the Taurus has improved. It just doesn't belong in a comparison with anything Buick. No one is cross-shopping the two, and this erroneous review makes it seem like people are. Think of it this way--if you're shopping a Lexus ES, Acura TL, or Infiniti G37, you're likely shopping Lacrosse, too. Same price points, same type of buyer. But you wouldn't shop these and then say "Ok, now let's go slum it over at the Ford dealer so I can try a Taurus." Isn't logical.

Definitely go for originality, but what I do like about his videos is that he does all the research before he makes each video. I watch his and feel like I learn something. Opinions are fine so long as they're not one-sided (i.e. all about me and what I like). Kyle gives opinions, but he gives everything a fair shake regardless of brand. Btw, I'd make an addendum to this video--there is no Buick that competes with a Ford; especially the Lacrosse. That's erroneous. Maybe Lincoln, but not Ford.

Is that why they released the Regal and Verona? Those cars are targeting the generation Y buyers... which btw, our birth years span from 1983-2001 so some are approaching 30 years old. Buick obviously needs to get our attention if they hope to have a future, sure they have a great past, but they won't survive on the products that were popular with the baby boomers.

  • @socalguy97
    @socalguy9712 жыл бұрын

You mean the Verano, not the Verona. Do some research on this brand appealing to generation "Y" -- I'm pretty sure that's not their target, but I could be wrong. I own a Regal, my wife owns the car you reviewed (a black CXS 2010), and we're gen x'ers. And I think Buick gets a person's attention as the get older; when I was 20 I didn't aspire to own a Buick. Now I enjoy mine very much, and we'll buy again. I'd still like to know a person born after 1983 that can afford the car you reviewed.

  • @socalguy97

Nothing on this car is unexpected either. This is Buick. They pack their cars with luxury and "really nice stuff" as you call it. Always have. As for generation "Y" buyers, I don't know a typical generation "Y" buyer who could afford one. The model you reviewed books for somewhere between $39 and $45. Buick isn't aiming for 20 somethings; they're focusing on the 35 plus crowd. I'm 33 and wouldn't want to be associated with a car that some 20 year old kid drives around. Buick is on top of this.

There's no such term as "semi-premium" or "semi-luxury"--It's entry-luxury. Buick is an entry-luxury brand, just like Acura, Lexus, Infiniti. They're not full fledged luxury brands.Yes,the Verano starts in the 20's, as does the Acura ILX, but they both top out in the $30's. That's a marketing strategy.Remember, Buick never aimed for Gen Y, so they definitely resonate more with Gen X.I have good memories of Buicks from the 80's/90's.I was old enough to remember them new, not used/beaten to death.

haha I still don't know where that damn trunk release was! But I was surprised bc its a much better car than older Buicks. I'd say most ppl in the baby boomer age group will like it, however, they need to do more if they want to attract the "Generation Y" group bc I would still never buy one lol

Buick is going for what Oldsmobile used to be: more of a sport luxury with all of the tech features.

You don't get it. lol I know the Taurus quite well. Look anywhere and you'll find the 2013 competition to be the Camry, Accord, Mazda 6, Impala, Charger, 300 (base)--basically a car anyone could own with an MSRP starting around $24K. Dress one up in SHO trim, it's still not Lincoln, Lexus or Buick. But Ford in general? Never competed with Buick, and by their own admission are not luxury vehicles. Ford is about as blue collar American and as apple pie a brand as can be had.
