This just goes to show how well a car holds up when its well taken care of. I will be using this video as an example for all those naysayers that complained about VW inferior quality back then. From what I can see, its as well preserved as any of its competitors from the same period. Thanks for showing it.

Really nice car and i like your presentation, but why is anyone selling one of these always talking about the nice and complete spec while its missing some important details. This example does not have ventilated massaging 18 way adjustable front seats, just the 2 zone AC instead of the four zone unit, it is missing the ventilated and massaging rearseats, its not equipped with the extended leather nor the extended wood, it doesnt even come with a fridge. And i am not including the long wheelbase version or the four seater configuration featuring two 10 way adjustable captainchairs in the back.

The car was state-of-the-art when it debuted. Remember, this is a 2011. Those thing you're complaining about weren't mainstream yet, but not every car had ever option that VW offered. Nevertheless, it could still compete head-to-head with other brands in the same class.

@@krane15 Its not a fault of the car but of the sellers. Id like to buy one with all around climated seats. But nearly nobody is able to properly disclose spec of the phaeton theyre selling. It is a nice spec for sure but far far from complete. And thats really bothersome when your shopping for one of these but want all seats ventilated. Now i always have to check the frontseats for the sideseam and the backseats for the massage controls.

How do you know it doesn't have a fridge? Is that a refrigerated glove box?

​@@David-cm4ok Nope, its a fridge designed for champagne bottles in between the rear seats extending into the trunk where it can be easily spotted

Actually, it was "good enough." But your are correct with your first statement, it was branded wrong. Or you could say marketed incorrectly. I would have just called it a Phaeton and underscored the VW.
