My neighbor bought one of these from an auction. It was completely neglected and still runs! While in LE I had handled several accidents with these and they hold up perfectly!
Our 2011 outback had its transmission completely replaced about 7-8 years ago.. 10k.. about three or four years ago we got a check from Subaru with that money back.. something about lemon laws. Since that new transmission it’s however we’ve had no problems with our subie and absolutely love it!
Please note that the 2011 outback 3.6R has none of these problems.
I have a 2010 Outback 3.6 with a 5 speed automatic. I've had none of these problems. 150,000 miles
Whats with a Legacy Outback 2012. 2.0 D
i'm looking at a 2010 outback. I see the oil pan in the bottom looks oily. Is that a problem?

It's not uncommon to see some oil residue or buildup on the bottom of an engine, including the oil pan. However, if you see a significant amount of oil or dripping, it could indicate a leak or a more serious problem. It's a good idea to have a mechanic inspect the car to determine the source of the oil and to check if any repairs are needed before making a purchase.
My 2011 Tribeca has been good so far. Needs oil leak fixed I’m told they no longer make the parts. That sucks

Try looking for parts from an Outback 3.0r if you have a 3.0 engine or the Legacy 3.6r if you have the 3.6 engine
我也有一部好開
Just replaced my 2011 transmission…….8g!!!! Worth more than the car……it’s a pos.

I also miss old-fashioned 4-Speed Automatic Transmissions on Subaru.

how many miles on it?

@@DavidMines It had 170k. My issue isn’t that the transmission went out…..all vehicles do that. My issue is that they cost 8k for a new refurbished one or 6k for one with 120k miles on it. No vehicle should a transmission cost that much period…..3k tops. It’s because they are garbage transmission years with a plethora of documented issues…..why Subaru extended the warranty and drive train mileage. They knew they had an issue with them. Avoid at all costs 2010-2013 Subarus.
First commenter here I'm experiencing all of the above.

@@jeromebullard6123I want buy Subaru Outback 2011 3.6r 200k km, some detail for looking?
And then DONT buy a 2012-2016 Subaru because the head gaskets blow. When Toyota’s have a problem then Toyota will fix the issue in less than a year, but it takes Subaru several years before the problem is resolved. Screw that Subaru
